Right now I'm thinking about how I'm useless because I'm at least 20 years behind everyone else. Today I went to look for some new legal-sized file folders, and I can't believe how hard it is to find them even with all the new back-to-school and office supplies everywhere now. I have a lot, and I really mean a *lot* of drawings because I've been saving them since my late teens, that I drew offline, by hand, on real paper, and it looks like I'm the only person left on the planet who does this instead of everything on a computer. I organize and protect my drawings and hand-written stories by keeping them in separate labeled file folders, but eventually the folders get tattered and I have to replace them. A few days ago I bought some plastic folders but they're small and don't hold many pages. I hate the thought that people now only draw things on computers without drawing them by hand on paper first, where they can easily correct every mistake so it only *looks* like they have skill and talent, like so-called "singers" who use auto-correct and make me furious. Also I feel like they're to trying to "guilt" me since trees have to be cut down in order for me to create my art, even if it's recycled.
you're never alone. i keep mine in file folders too.
i also draw on paper all the time. hell, i even feel guilty if i have to use a grid.
on the occasions i do use photo editing programs on my stuff, i draw it by hand first.
i believe every effect made in fancy programs is reproduce-able on paper/ hard copies, you just have to find the right materials and techniques.
