I need to get my car inspected.

My ma is taking up archery, which will be awesome. We're ordering her first bow next week; a simple fiberglass recurve with a 15 pound pull at 24 inches draw (it's not a toy, even if "only" 15 pounds. It'll still put an arrow into your heart). This was entirely at her behest too! She wanted me to teach her how to shoot firearms, but she's afraid of the noise, so she brought up archery.

I must admit though, I'll feel better knowing that she'll be able to shoot to protect herself if it's ever needed. After all, I sleep a lot so I'm not always there.

Well, it's about time I woke up! Time to do something now.....

Why did I come home before procuring ample foodstuffs?

I have to go and pick up my harvest box, tomorrow.

Forest fires suck.

First bow shot in a couple of years: put a hole in a step ladder. (Folded cardboard was in between the steps, which was the actual target.)

I'm freaking awesome.

I only just now learned (through the internet) that the days of the week (in Latin and the Romance languages) weren't so much named after deities, but after the then-known planets (Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn), which represented those deities.

The thing that threw me off was how, in Germanic languages, the days of the week had, after the introduction of the seven-day-week by the Romans, been named after corresponding Germanic deities: Mars>Tius (god of war), Mercury>Woden (trade), Jupiter>Donar (thunder), Venus>Frigg (love).

Learn a little every day I guess.

i love how my radio makes a funny noise everytime i get a text message and my phone is near it before the phone even knows it has a text message. it is not supposed to do that. both machines are old and a little broken. i wonder how though.

^ My phone and computer speakers do that too.

I'm looking foward to the end of 2012.
