I live in the middle of nowhere, against state forest. No one around to get scared of seeing someone with a bow and quiver. There's people around to hear gunshots though, which is why I've been shying away from carrying one on my walks; if I feel like shooting a stump with an arrow, no one is bothered. Blast said stump with a shotgun/rifle of equal standing, and people know for miles upon miles (the odd shot is fine, but people get bothered with more than one; pretty boring to just shoot once on a long walk).

I don't think people would be all that bothered by seeing a bow in the suburbs anyway; there's archery clubs around most of them, and I guess people...don't see them as threatening just by looking at them (unlike firearms).

I remember the old archery shop I used to go to had a range set up down his driveway and said shop was out of a garage next to his house (no shops out here, so it's the town for me for supplies). That's where I shot my first real bow actually, down his driveway (padded backstop at the end of such). :)

People pretty much shoot at will near me. At the nearby range, in their yard, in the state lands all around. Some times a few shots sometimes a whole bunch. I don't even notice it much anymore. It reminds me of times I lived on certain bases and you could hear the chatter of rifles and machine guns on the distant training ranges in the quiet of night, It was a comforting sound to me.

It's amazing what a difference a year makes. I'm not nearly as anxious as I was, last year around this time. :)

I don't know. I just had some apple crisp, but now we're getting ice cream. No thanks.

The most selfish things that a parent can do, are to expect their same sex children to like the exact things that they do and expect them to be exactly like them.

I feel like I'm going to pass out. I've just spoken my mind, a few minutes ago. It feels good. :)
