I made waffels some weeks ago (during a hometeaching project with the oldest). I used a cookbook from 1897 and one portion requried 7 eggs. They used eggs instead of bakingpowder then.

I like waffles with ketchup. Or mustard.

Bacon and maple syrup? Haven't tried that yet.

I like my bacon soft. Crispy doesn't work for me.

I also like soft bacon. It has more flavour. :)

That sounds very good! I like mine with chocolate sauce and ice-cream.

I prefer crispy bacon. I thought that was tastier.

I never had waffles with chocolate sauce. I didn't know anybody did that.

I have to agree with CockneyRebel. I think bacon is tastier when soft.

I'v only eaten pancake waffles the once, and that was a taster from a little stall. I don't remember it much but I liked it, we had this "around the world breakfast" during a guides camping trip.

I am however very used to potato waffles, yummmmm. They go well with eggs and baked beans.
