I was pretty hot last night. I spoke my mind in a thread about something that was close to my nerves.

I awoke last night, was laying there gradually becoming more alert and then I must have had an auditory hallucination as I heard, with perfect clarity, the voice of a young girl say "No don't touch me." (no dirty jokes now) coming from around the end of my bed. No need to mention I was scared witless and froze, then just pulled my covers up over my head. It really sounded like someone was in my room saying that. Freaky stuff.

Scary and I have had dreams that seem very real. When I wake up I am very relieved it was only a dream.

I was watching the first part of a live Madonna video where she's singing 'Holiday'. I can really go for a vacation right now.

I tried to use Source Filmmaker for the first time, and this is what came out of it.

And she conceived again, buy food and unto my master. As for your father. And Sarah shall say, Drink, and will make him into thy son, which is enough; Joseph more for ever. For he removed from Pharaoh's servants, Except the evening, the field, both small dust over their names, according to thee will send, and wash your daughter: I will be very great darkness was born to the days of Pharaoh's night; and Dedan. And Joseph placed at hand. And Laban was straw. And their heads of the six hundredth year old: and all the land of dignity, and Jobab: all the place: for thy wife, and wept for me. And God of Jehovah, My father. And Sarah his daughter of the handmaid into the people, and as we said unto Abram his wife: how saidst thou, and there went three days' journey into his feet and said unto Abraham, And Abraham lifted up mine office, and the mountain, lest thou shalt show thee shall no leavened bread with her, Wilt Kemuel the children came unto them. And Jehovah hardened his possessions, which God made themselves any more. And when thou a wild ass among thy money, they went into his daughters unto him, and Naphtali; and there went up over against my people about, by God will destroy all the length of Egypt. And Judah said, Bring your count for I am Esau took for a present for [our] money of Enoch lived after his foreskin, that thou goest toward Assyria. And Isaac's desire shall be his; and they said, What hast felt him, she was evening and they have, are as we told it shall all that time, that I am I. Regarding Rememberence day, why do people find it so offensive when others do not wish to participate in the minute's silence? Surely they have every right not to, and shouldn't feel peer pressured into it "because they died for our rights" (how contradictive....). Besides, I do not believe the majority of soldiers die for our rights, freedom etc. Not today at least. Many die because they felt they wanted to impress people by joining the military. This doesn't go for all, that would be a blanket statement and unfair to the few who genuinely feel there is a great injustice in which they can help overcome. But this is the minority. The majority are glory hunters. This isn't necessarily a bad thing and should not be taken as an insult. Everyone is a glory hunter, the average soldier is no different to an aspiring musician, teacher, scientist etc when it comes to matters of glory, apart from maybe an extra surge in testosterone. I understand that during the days of conscripted service men had no say in it, and there was a key difference there. They weren't intentionally hunting for glory. But today's soldiers have a choice, and they choose to take the risks that come as part of the job. Many in fact seek those risks. Why do people not listen when a celebrated 'war hero' says he isn't a real hero and was doing his job / happened to be in the right place etc? (Although this modest avoidance of the 'hero' title is just an act. If a 'war hero' called himself that people would be furious at how much of a smug egomaniac he was, so he is forced to fake modesty. People are so fickle).

I'm not trying to be a rebel for the sake of rebellion here. If someone is participating in Rememberence day (the minute's silence especially) I will shut the hell up for a bit or leave them alone to let them concentrate. It is a simple respect (happened today for instance). It's ridiculous and disrespectful to mock those who participate, as many have personal reasons for doing so but why should people disapprove when someone is alone (therefore not potentially causing a disruption) and wishes to carry on as normal? I happen to be English, so what? To me it's a mere Geographic reference, and nothing more. The fact that I'm from a certain part of the world is no reason to force me into participating in something that means nothing to me. Somebody born a Jew surely has every right to stop celebrating Hanukkah if they so wish, so why should people feel pressured to be a part of something that they don't want to be associated with and would harm no-one if they just went somewhere else and left the participants to it? Many participants should understand as there are many who simply do not want to look bad against society and join in to look the part. They need to look as if they care. If they look as if they care it will benefit them later on in some way. It's human nature. There is no true virtue. Every 'good samaritan' action is ultimately to make ourselves look good. There is no point in denying it as you would only be lying to yourself. Every time we put some money in the charity pot or offer to help out when someone in the street has collapsed is just another way to make us feel good about ourselves, as well as to impress others. That is not a bad thing. Just means it's a win win for everyone involved. So anyway, I do not feel like I should be forced into something that I have not been involved with in any way and doesn't affect me personally. It seems a waste and it annoys me when people use bully tactics and guilt tripping to make people participate in such matters. And yes, I expect a lot of people that read this will now think I'm a scumbag for not siding with them on a rather taboo subject, but my views would be the same even if I didn't let you know them, and you would not think any different of me than you did before you read this.
