It does support the view of both a major cover-up by the scientific community to avoid antagonising the deep state (who are reported to threaten intellectuals who throw questions about aliens visiting earth) but also the more plausible reason that scientists don't like phenomena that throw their theoretical foundations upside down and put them out of a job.

Avi Loeb's explanation makes plenty of sense.

If we are beginning space tourism now? It has been happening. Aliens have been coming to Earth for a vacation. Perhaps they liked it enough to stay.
