I don't really have one but I like Meryll Streep as of she doesn't take being a celebrity too seriously

most, if not all, reality TV series, any soap opera, and sport broadcasts :eew: . commercial television in Australia is really quite bad for overcooking all three.

advertisements on commercial television have increased volume, you often find yourself having to scramble for the remote control before your ears start bleeding... "BUY NOW!" arghhhh!! !!

the banter on commercial radio seems to cater for the lowest common denominator. music played on such stations is somewhat offensive with its heart bleeding, saccharine, and repetitive nature.

the advertisements on commercial radio make me want to self harm.

blockbuster movies may be visually stunning but more often than not they lack substance... or they tend to be a re-hash (plagiarism) of stories that have already been told. :roll:

(I agree with ALL of the comments you just made about the media, tektek- maybe the situation is particularly bad here in Australia. )

I'm quite a happy person, but I think that being "truly happy" requires a single-mindedness that I'm not capable of- I'm usually feeling several things at any given time. However, I often do feel happy and peaceful when I'm a long way from cities, on a quiet beach or in some other beautiful natural place.

Have you ever felt 'truly happy"?
