I had meltdowns in public places before.

But the source of meltdown/s isn't from the public itself.

It is usually from individual situations that happened to be near or in public.
From unshakable discomfort of certain pains, to wishing I'd rather be alone than to deal with current difficulty of whoever I'm accompanying.

Angry, utterly irritated and frustrated sure, and even loud.
But I know better than to go all out violent and destructive. It's something I have to figure how to unleash safely for a good portion of my life.

Same question.

I have internal meltdowns quite often when I have to go out in public. By "internal meltdowns" I mean that I'm boiling over on the inside, ready to explode, but I manage to suppress it or not flip out. It's usually because of sensory issues like lighting or people's noises, or frustration with things getting complicated and taking too long. I've had some actual meltdowns with cursing out loud and flipping out on people, or having to sit on the ground with my head in my heads. That's never good. That leads to agoraphobia (fear of leaving home in case you have a panic attack).

So wind me up because here I go. I hope it's not a replay of last Monday.

No, not really. As far as i go would be; unease, disquiet, unnerved, ill at ease, stressed, agitated. But meltdowns, no.

I generally don't have sensitivity of that nature, the closest i came to that feeling was ( it was like i drugged with lsd or something) when i was teenager, in a very crowed area, and feeling out of it, strange, dissociated. But I'm pretty level headed now.

I wish you well.

Good luck on your trip to town!

I have terrible agoraphobia and have trouble leaving home at all. Going into stores is even more difficult; most are sensory torture. In terms of public meltdowns, I can't say I've had many. I tend to get overloaded and go mute. My husband, luckily, recognizes my "deer in the headlights" look and will help me get back to the car while he finishes up at stores. I completely shutdown and need many hours of recovery after.

I shutdown rather than meltdown. I'm pretty good now at spotting the warning signs and getting out of places before it gets too bad. I don't really go to towns much any more. I went to Winchester yesterday and only lasted about half an hour but that was more to do with COVID fear than anything. Way too busy. I just tend to avoid busy times and I wear earphones if I have to go.

My supermarket now has specific 'quiet' hours for people with sensory issues. They turn the lights down and there's no PA music or announcements. It's really good!

Do you enjoy flying kites?

COVID definitely makes my time in public even more brief/truncated!

I've never flown a kite!

I've flown a kite a few times....never with any success.

Has anyone ever told you to "Go fly a kite?"

Pretty much everyone, my whole life. They equate it with haughtiness or they decide I'm in a bad mood, or that I hate them. It's not the best way to help a mute person speak. I also walk very quietly, and it bothers people because they say I'm stealthy like a cat and it scares them when they don't hear me coming. Lose - lose.

I liked a lot of them too but my favorite was Sailor Moon. I used to run to the school bus after class so i can get home as soon as possible and not miss it.

I don't remember which one was specifically my favourite, since I watched so many cartoons.

What's your favourite video game (if you have one)?
