Uneventful, wind dying down slowly, 10mph now. 15 (59) under overcast skies.

It's hazy and 89°F but feels like it's 91°F with 45% humidity and winds ESE at 6 mphs. I wonder if that damn swamp is still on fire or on fire again and that's why it's so hazy here?

Cooler. Fell to 8 (46) last night and is rising again.
Clear skies, wind calm, today looks to be a good one.

Lately it's been cooling down and I'm happy about that because I can't stand hot weather.

The mornings are very cool and it stays that way until 3rd hour where it gets super hot though that might just be the building then it cools down again and gets kinda hot around bed time but that could just be the room again

Wouldn't be surprised if today was warmer than any August day :P

21 (70) and clear right now, it was probably a bit higher when I wasn't there to see it though.

It's partly cloudy, 87°F but feels like 91°F with 53% humidity and wind from the West at 8 mph here in Norfolk, Virginia, Mid-Atlantic East Coast. I am sick of this heat! I can't wait to move to some place cooler. Thank The Gods, Hurricane/Tropical Storm Maria is out to Sea instead of climbing up the East Coast.

I stay inside as much as possible. I love the outdoors too but not with all the humidity and heat here in this part of Virginia.

You should come and live here! You're lucky to touch 70 in August (in the north anyway) :P

I would love too. I've never been to Greater Manchester. :) Actually, I'm planning to move to the Shenandoah Valley in the Western part of Virginia, on the other side of the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains, in a small town. It's has cooler temps. there and they get more rain so it's greener and more beautiful than it is here.

There is a drought that's been going on for sometime in this area of Virginia and the Eastern Shore of both Virginia and Maryland. I checked it out on the USGS website because I've noticed a big difference from when I lived here before, everything was so green and beautiful with lots of flowers and it rained a lot more. A good part of the grass turns tan/dead in the Summer and people don't garden like they use to.

The Great Dismal Swamp catches fire from lightening and burns about ever year now too. We get a whole lot of air quality alerts from the smoke of the burning swamp. I'll be walking to the store and all the sudden I'm out of breath like I would be if I was running instead of walking. It's horrible and I won't miss it.

I will however miss the Sea.

You don't really want to go to Greater Manchester :P

That sounds interesting - the latest trend here now seems to be little rain for the first half of the year, and an absolute washout the second half!

Why do you say that about Greater Manchester?
