Everywhere I’ve not been and even some I’ve already lived. Texas is home and where I want to die. I’m sorely pissed that my world travels were disrupted. I wanted to see the world.

I have alot of products come out of Tokyo. Practically anything thats electronic is designed there. Right?

Well, I've thought about this over the past years. I've always liked the idea of living in America. East (NY) or West (LA) .Or anywhere. Miami. Colorado. Seattle. etc etc etc. Pennsylvania even. Kinda similar climate to England. Rainy and lots of countryside(?)But American culture is kinda...I don't know...different. Smart move is stay with in the Commonwealth, That leaves Australia (cousin moved there) And Canada. Canada has similar social style as UK, It might be in between US and UK culturally, plus just across border, you're in America. It's on the same continent. Which is ideal. SO, Canada, I suppose

But that said, like txfz1. England is home and where I want to die live! I might get homesick.

Hawaii is usually not what people think it is but I would love to go there. Have a couple nieces that lived some there on the big island. Kinda like Japan, they want you to visit but are very homogeneous and picky who stays.

The Mediterranean

I don't know, but if within the US, maybe Philadelphia or San Francisco.

However, if overseas, either Ireland or Australia.

If someone asked you if your home city was a good city to move to,
what are three reasons you would say to tell them no?

Example (for Portland):
Ongoing Homeless Situation
Gun Violence
Incompetent City Leadership

It's full of redneck cowboys, hotter than hell during the summer, and the winter wind is colder than a witches' tit in a brass bra.

I live rurally, so I'll comment on the nearest large city to me:

Full of feral bogans
Severe housing crisis
Ice addicts

What is an ice addict? Siri only had cake bakery,so frozen water and immigration services don't seem logical to me.

3 reasons NOT to move to my home city (ignoring the many reasons why people seem to LOVE moving here):

1) Heat and humidity;
2) Sooo many people moving here from interstate in the last year or so, reducing housing availability and pushing rents/house prices sky high (it's been really stressful even just trying to stay in the same place);
3) Infrastructure (esp. public transport) not keeping up with demand.

Same question.

We are in perpetual lockdown with shops going bankrupt
Poor infrastructure / public transit
Traffic is insane
Crime - some guns but primarily knives, assault, theft (esp catalytic converters?)
Police are sexist and ableist
Land taxes are outrageous (up more than 1000% since I bought my house)
Crap services for the tax dollar - no snowplow for my road or sidewalk / no help for disabled people
Ridiculous bi-laws like my neighbour can sue me if my cat steps in their garden
Not allowed a clothes-line outside because it's an eye sore - must use clothes dryer / electric
Can be fined for not cutting grass or not keeping up with the neighbours
Can be sued if I don't clear all my snow within 12 hours of a storm
Water pipes are old and bursting costing most homeowners up to $20,000 per event (non-insured)

I could go on
