^ Do you mind if I asked how that happened??? 8O I hope that you are okay now.

I've personally had an ear infection or two that were so bad they made my ear(s) constantly ring, which made me worried that it was damaging my auditory nerve or something. When my rabbit scratched my eye last year my vision was also so f'd up that I was worried it'd permanently make my vision in that eye like that if it scarred or got more inflamed.

Same question.

Not really. My first stroke caused double vision and my eyelid was drooped shut, so I couldn't see out of it. I had to wear an eye patch for a long time. It was similar to losing use of one eye but I wasn't blind.

Deafness - no, but I do have 24/7 tinnitus which is considered a form of hearing loss.

BBQ nothin'.

Can you still hear the high pitched ring from CRT TVs? (I could until I started getting ear infections again just a couple years ago...)

I just got rid of mine about four years ago. It was so heavy it took four big men with a hoist to get it out. It cracked my hardwood floor. Did they make tinnitus sounds?

they made a 15,575 cycle per second "horizontal scan whistle" that sounds just like my tinnitus, meaning the frequency is the same. wish i could tell you the note but my perfect pitch doesn't run that high.

^ They sound like my tinnitus, too. Freaked me out as a kid when I started getting tinnitus.

Do you think that CRT monitors/TVs have any reason to still be used?

My T is also very high, like radioactive mosquitoes in a tin can. I've tried the online Tinnitus-pitch-matching tools, but none seem quite high enough. Mine also wavers and makes weird fax machine sounds sometimes.

Sure they have reason to be used if they still work.

I have to be up briefly in 4 hours. Do I bother going to bed, or just wait?

I've taken my sedative too, so I should likely try to sleep.

Defs go to sleep.

We can compare dreams tomorrow.

Yes. I find LED lights very painful. I miss the old TVs and computers. Hate flatscreens, except they take up less space and are lighter.
