You alright Colin? Drop me a PM if you need to, though am no good at giving advice..

Not having someone I can spend my time with and not being able to do anything about it. Rinse and repeat.

I felt down and a bit annoyed whilst I was at the group I go to (not an AS group it's for people feeling isolated really). They are so fixated on getting more funding. It seems to be more about the people from different organisations "networking" with each other than helping the actual members of the group. Also some people who have only been there a couple of times seem to have made friends; I heard a couple mention about phoning each other and most people joke about with each other whilst I can barely talk to anyone there so usually end up sitting on my own or getting talked at. Also I'm worried about some blood test results; I just phoned up and they said one had been queried so the doctor will have to look at it, I presume they'll let me know tomorrow. :?

The group I used to go to was an AS one, it was to help social skills and finding work. Unfortunately, I never learned anything I didn't already know from the experience. I liked it when we had to act out scenarios as it highlighted what you had to work on, but for the most part we were just given info that is easily obtainable online. I never made any friends either, but it wasn't made easy due to the set up as we were split to 2 tables. So most times if I wanted to say something to people on the other side it felt too awkward as I would have to raise my voice to be heard and have everyone be looking at me :?

Not sure what its like there, but if you over hear something your interested in try and join in and have your say. Its easier said than done, but I'm sure you would find the words if it was a subject of interest :) As for the blood tests, if they don't get back to you contact them again to confirm when exactly you will be getting your results. I know with mine sometimes they need a gentle reminder of these things.

^Sorry to hear you didn't find your group that helpful. I would feel the same in that situation with the tables arranged like that, it seems a bit silly of them to have done it that way. :/
I need to try and speak up more I guess, maybe it will just take me longer to feel comfortable than it does with most people there.

We all know that life is fragile. It can end at any moment, even if you're young and seemingly healthy. I had a very dark and sad realization - What if I died the way I am now, empty and unfulfilled, having spent the last several months of my life searching for my "next big thing", having wasted the last conversations with my most precious people having complained of said emptiness? That would be beyond awful.

I once realised that, but forgot about it. Now I'm worried it will happen to someone on another site who has gone away for the week - I'm worried an accident will happen on their way home and I'll never see them again. :(

went to poetry and song night and had a freak out. i didnt do it in front of people but that is part of what frustrated me. it was so hard to find a quiet, dark, people-less place to have a melt down. like i figured the toilet would be bad because there is only one so i went for the room next to it only to discover a line for the toilet full of poeple who would think it suss if i went in that room for a long time. so i went to the chemist next door, sat down at the back and started rocking and tearing up. there were mirrors everywhere. i left. ran around the corner into a backstreet and stood there in the cold and dark and calmed myself down. happily i averted a full on meltdown. the backstreet was inconveinient though- people walked past, cars drove by, a group of men walked by and either said something in a european tongue or called me a wh@#$ in arabic(i retaliated in arabic just in case. wasnt going to let him be misogynistic and get away with it because he thinks i cant speak my language). they also joked about raping me in english as they walked away so i disappeared into the night. i tried the room next to the toilet again but there was a man smoking in there. there was no place i could go. i have never been in a situation where i couldn't go to the toilet to freak out. i felt exposed and i am glad nobody saw.
my comrade noticed that i looked freaked though and he got why which make this the first time in the history of my life that anybody, ever has gotten the fact that i do not do well at these things just like that. 'cause neurotypicals are just so much more empathetic you know?

My mother woke me up after only 5 hours of sleep, when I need 10. Why? To make me dump laundry out of a bag while she sorted my siblings laundry for them. I would've been happy to do it even tho my siblings (who are all over 13) aren't expected to since they are worth more as human beings. Just not while I was sleeping!
