What's the question? I'm lost.

Letters - Yes I'm good with letters of the alphabet bc I have synaesthesia, so each letter has a colour and a personality. The only spelling difficulty I have is with the schwa /ə/ sound, ever since my first stroke. When I spell words with /ə/ sounds I tend to get them wrong about ten times before giving up and having to google. I didn't used to have any trouble but somehow I lost my schwa-ability. I've always enjoyed writing handwritten letters to people / family and I still do - Christmas and birthday cards, Get Well Soon / Sympathy cards, Thank You cards, even Thinking of You cards. Sometimes just letters with no card. I'm not as good at PM / email correspondence because it tends to go faster and I can't process the information / ideas fast enough.

Fears - Falling through ice. Worms. In no particular order.

Did you ever say bedtime prayers as a child? How about Grace?

We were not a religious family. I believe I "prayed,'" sometimes, when I wanted something----but I never actually "said prayers" in bed.

When I went to camp, though, we frequently said "grace" before meals. There were actually prayers before and after the meal when I went to a Jewish camp.

Same question.

I said the "Now I lay me down to sleep .... " prayer, and also prayed good wishes to Santa Claus every night.

Growing up we only said Grace on big holiday meals. My former bf and I said Grace at tea. My current partner and I give thanks if we've made the food ourselves (which is almost always).

If you could hire someone to do one task for you, what would it be?

Do a deep-cleaning of my house every three months or so.

Same question.

First wish:

Someone to do all my outdoor work - snow, leaves, gardening, repairs, Christmas lights.

Second wish:
Professional organiser - maybe once a day to keep things put away. 8)
I don't have a lot of stuff but with really low EF it gets all over the place.
Paperwork / mail is the worst. I'm kind of phobic of paperwork but I won't throw out paper either.
I never know what to do with it (filing does NOT work for me).

Are you having pancakes today?

I would hire someone to shop and cook for me. Not because I hate that task, but because I tend to not bother doing it. I'd like to eat well but I'm unwilling to make it happen.

No, I will not eat pancakes today. I've eaten pancakes most days the last year, but I'm currently trying to go keto for at least a while.

Same Q (the pancake one)

I was planning to make a big pancake brunch but my daughter was asleep and I ate something else.
Maybe we'll have them tonight instead.

Ever been to Mardi Gras?

Not to Mardi Gras.

But Ive been to Labor Day Carnival on Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, which is very similar to Mardi Gras—but about 6 months later.

Same question.

I got into trouble at school and later at work for doing and saying things that were the result of being on the autistic spectrum, though I wasn't aware of it at the time. At work, speaking out too frankly about the people in authority, for example, without realizing that they might react to this. At school, just being annoying without realizing it, not taking account of other people's sensibilities or even realizing they existed, etc.

Do you think that the society you are living in is progressing right now, or is going backwards?

Going backwards to use your terms. Going downhill is the term I'll use. The nuclear family is dying despite people realizing their own inner drive to provide or nurture. The death rate has exceeded the birth rate. While it is good to reduce the population, I feel we need people to solve the problems. In my lifetime, I have seen racism decline but recently it has started to re-emerge. I'll stop there and just say it is not the society I'd prefer.

Society doesn't progress, it normalizes.

What standard food combination do you hate the most? (For me it's chocolate with peanut butter. Enjoy both separately, though.)

Nothing unusual.
Something crispy and salty, accompanied by something sweet or bland and sometimes also sour.

Same question.
