My land taxes (due next week).
Brisbane.

Then:
My bedroom renovation.
Summer in the Hebrides.
A new MacBook.
New tires for the car.
All new windows in the house.
Tuition.

In no particular order.

So far I have enough saved for a Grandé Mocha at Starbucks.

same question

Question: How long does it take to walk to the nearest railway station from your place?

a couple hours

FWIW I've ridden a subway train in Germany and in Russia, I've ridden an inter-city train in Russia, and I've ridden a trolley in San Francisco, but to my recollection, I haven't ridden a train of any kind in the USA, outside of an amusement park. Possibly the trolley had more than one car, I don't remember, and possibly I rode the subway in New York City as a kid, but don't remember.

I think there is an inter-city rail station on the north end of town. It would take at least a couple hours to walk there, as I live in the fairly rural area south of town, and there isn't even a direct route by road to get north of town. There is no subway or surface rail in the (small) city. I'm not even on a bus route. It would take at least twenty minutes to walk to the nearest bus stop, I think.

Nearest tavern to my house is less than a kilometre away. I could probably walk there in just over 10 minutes. Not that I drink, but I've had a nice meal there once.

Same question.

There's one that I think is a tavern about 20 minutes away by train + walking. There might be one closer that I'm aware of. I'm not familiar with most of my neighborhood.

How far is the closest shopping center from your place (either the distance or the time it takes to get there)?

if you mean a real by-god shopping mall or plaza, that would be about 15 miles away. takes about 40 minutes driving at the speed limit to get there.

About a 5 to 10 minute drive to Best Buy and Walmart though we try to avoid that Walmart and shop at the one in Sharpsburg because the Walmart in my hometown has too many beggars in the parking lot. I spend over $200 in groceries. I just want togo home. I know I shouldn't be mean and impatient like this, but how do I know they aren't faking it to get free money?

How far to the nearest restaurant from your area?

We have a Western Sizzlin' right next to our neighborhood.

Nearest restaurant to me is actually in the nearest shopping centre, also less than a kilometre from my house (in the opposite direction of the tavern, though).

Same question.

There's a "strip mall" a few minutes away from me.

Can you sew?

By hand, yes.
With a machine, no.

I can do lots of other needlework like embroidery, knitting, crochet, and macrame.

I can't do a lot of needlework, but my aunt is helping me to learn to sew and do other stuff like that. It's fun.

Do you know any sign language, or want to learn any?
