(Anonymous): Plaice, though cod and haddock in fish fingers are also very nice.

(Isabella): Three - my front door, my outhouse (in the back garden) and my filing cabinet.

Do you live in a peaceful neighbourhood?

It looks peaceful and it's very middle-class, but there's a lot of bad shite going on overnight on CCTV.

This neighbourhood is reassuringly quiet, for the most part. There's a cemetery on the opposite side of the road, and you can't get much quieter than that.

Has your house or your car ever suffered from a break in?

cemetery envy ^

My car was broken into in my driveway but it was a long time ago. They made a big mess and rifled through my stuff but didn't take anything. There was a spree in the area at the time. My house was broken into by police. My parents' house was robbed by my brother's friends when we were teenagers.

Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?

My mother, letting me know how her trip to New Zealand was going yesterday.

Same question.

My incredibly hot mechanic.

I hope your mother's trip is going well. ^

What chores do you need to do on the weekend?
(Oh wait, this is your weekend.)

Vacuuming, laundry (weather permitting), descaling the kettle and cleaning out some mould.

@Isabella: Thanks, she's enjoying her trip and the weather's been nice for her. I hope you enjoy your trip, too.

Same question.

Steam-cleaning my floors.
Sorting a bunch of medical papers.
Possibly filing my taxes.
Cleaning the oven.
Caring for sick animals.
Laundry.
Cleaning the bathtub.
Changing my bedclothes.
Putting away the Christmas tree. (I promise!)
Hauling out some old furniture.
Reading and research.

What else is new?

It's one of many trees that I use. All the others were put away in good time but I've been enjoying this one. I've managed to move it from Room 1 to Rooms 2 and 3 on its journey to "away". Tomorrow seems like a good time for that. I'd love it out all year but it's too big and it requires furniture to be rearranged.

Sorry about your SI. My Glute Medius is messed.

Do you say prayers?

It hurts like a bugger ^, restricts hip rotation, and impairs my stability on the stairs (anywhere needing balance).
It's an ongoing annoyance but nothing that daily yoga doesn't (temporarily) help.

Not every day, but fairly often.

Do you know how to ice skate?

congenital instability [weak and prone to sudden pronation/supination] of the ankles prevent that.

Yes, though I've only done it a few times. I was already pretty comfortable with it the first time I tried it.

What's your favorite color for your clothing, if any?
