I used to really enjoy dubbed anime and even defended it, until I started watching live-action movies and quality Western animation. I also spent quite a lot of time watching subbed anime because of dubbed anime becoming less accessible to the public during recent years.

As a result I now think that all dubbed anime sounds really cheesy and melodramatic, no matter how badly I want to take it seriously. I also notice things like the characters will state something, and then repeat themselves using slightly different wording in order to match the mouthflaps. There's also the infamous over-exaggerated "Huh!?" when a character is surprised by something and their mouth is open.

On one hand, I'm a little sad that my love of dubs got ruined, because the dubbed anime that aired on Toonami and Adult Swim were a big part of my life when I was younger, so I feel like I lost a little bit of my childhood by not being able to enjoy dubs anymore. On the other hand, I feel a little proud that I've moved on to subs because it improves my reputation as an anime fan. :D

The Invisible Man would not be a good choice for playing the game charades.

We're getting some chickens [for eggs]! I'm going to build the coop. I like scrambled eggs and French toast.

Plus, they may just be...targets for feral predators (I'm terrible). :P Spotlight from bedroom window....

Chickens are cool. When my brother had them they used to follow him across the yard. I didn't know chickens could get attached like that :P

They're easy to keep too (unlike horses, the massive money eaters, for example), in addition to being funky little critters that provide food.

(I would have done it sooner, but it's been a slow several years regarding recovery from breakdown and all that. Been getting closer and closer to how I was before that, and actually better in some ways. So I can slowly start doing more with the "yard", which I'm lucky to be able to live on.)

I haz a happy car! :D. I mean, it starts instantly as soon as I turn the key. Makes me realise the ignition has actually been sluggish for a while (in comparison to how it starts now).

Tomorrow I will deliberately leave the sunshade off the windscreen to see if the blinker problem has gone away; the blinker could have been a precursory sign of my battery going dead for all I know. And tomorrow during my lunch break I intend to book a service for next week (there's a mechanic just up the road from the other office I work at).

i often step up onto my lectern that i have positioned next to a side window in my house to look at the world outside. i see all kinds of things in nature that i would never see if i just stayed seated at my desk. today for example, i calculated that there are 8340 bricks comprising the walls of the house next door.

My cat just loves to jump on my leg, and then tries to bite it.

That old song I was talking about is Session Man by The Kinks. That's what the word Autisian reminds me of. :)

Whenever I give someone a chance, I fall victim to their lies.
