Thursday night shopping, I bought:
Coloured paper for Origami (really hard to find good coloured paper without having to buy a whole ream of A4 paper)
Miscellaneous junk food
Magnetic green P plates for my car (will need them if I pass my test on the 6th Nov)
Booze for the weekend (Bacardi & Cola cans which I've never bought before, 'twas on special for $21/6 pack)

I celebrated Diwali (the Indian festival of Lights) on October 17th. I ordered in some fantastic Indian Food (Butter Chicken, basmati rice, naan bread, papadam, vegetable pakoras with timarind sauce, mixed pickles and mango chutney - MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmm goooooooood!! !). I am not much of a consumer otherwise - I am going to pick up some groceries tomorrow.

I had actually more fun, before I ordered the Indian Food, I rented "Drag Me To Hell" I love movies (including suspense/horror), but I don't get much of a chance to watch them because I have two pre-school kids (must not give them nightmares...) - hubby and the kids were away for the evening visiting my inlaws, so I got to relax with some spicy food and a horror movie. I guess most actual Indo Canadian families would be celebrating Dawali this way - but I'm just a Euro-Canadian who takes every good opportunity to eat
