1. My real name is Jadea - this isn't what my parents named me, and my mother still doesn't know I changed it some years ago.
2. I was mute till 7 years old, thanks to stunted speech I still can't say the letter 'R' without sounding like a pirate after oral surgery.
3. Despite the purple hair and purple coat...my favourite colour is actually red.
4. At the age of 9 I sold a painting I painted to Olympic swimmer Duncan Goodhew.
5. I'm scared of water, dogs, craneflies, giraffes, forums, losing my teeth and dying without achieving something.
6. I have qualifications in religious studies, philosophy, sociology, psychology, English literature, law, and biology.
7. I've been published in several magazines and books, including two books of poetry.
8. I have truly horrific memory, to the point where I have chunks of my life missing.
9. I am easily distracted by shiny things, kittens and cupcakes.
10. I am a little in love with Nightcrawler from X-Men, especially when played by Alan Cumming

I did this meme on Livejournal ten years ago when we were required to do 50 things. I wish I still had that meme post. I'd love to see how much has changed. LOL Oh damn, that could've been #1!
01. I love the smell of coconut and lime. I have a body lotion that I use all the time.
02. I've been a Rush fan since I was 7 years old. That's the Canadian progressive rock trio. I still get a little girlie thrill from seeing Alex Lifeson.
03. I play guitar and sing. I also know how to play piano, recorder and trumpet. I do have a good selection of music taste but primarily enjoy country music.
04. My favorite drink is Crown & Coke.
05. My most embarrassing moment was when I was pranked by a firefighter to ask a police officer if there was a pig in uniform at the station. There's a story behind it where you'll see that I was completely innocent and unawares; but, oh my god... he got me good.
06. Thunderstorms, sweet talk, and candlelight are very romantic to me.
07. There are moments when I can't believe I'm an adult and these people are my children. I can't believe that I remember being a kid and yet here I am raising children. It's amazing to me that I run this house and take care of this family.
08. I'm a soccer mom but I hate driving a minivan. I don't like sports cars or anything flashy or extravagant. I want a cross-over that would fit my family, like a Chevy Traverse or a Hyundai Veracruz. Sometimes I'll spend time just building one online on the website.
09. I come from a family of firefighters, police officers and lumberjacks. My dad was the only white collar in the family. He died a liberal and one of my best friends. My mother was a lunatic who probably most likely could have been helped but never bothered and died just as crazy as she lived. Since my dad was a workaholic, I spent most of my time at my uncles' firehouses to avoid her.
10. I was raised a Roman Catholic, spent some time as a Druid (educated via the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids), spent more time as an agnostic, returned Catholic and then converted Episcopalian. I can still read tarot. I don't do water spells anymore because that contradicts the practices of my current faith, but will still do them in dreams... and what I see in those dreams comes to pass. It is what it is.

I like this thread and read every one.
1. In high school, I kept a notebook specifically for drawing satirical comics about my classmates, all of whom either bullied or ignored me. At graduation, I put it in the class time capsule, which was opened at the 15-year class reunion. Naturally, I didn't attend. I wonder what they thought when they found it.
2. I like to collect strings of gemstone beads (like jade, agate, jasper, etc.). I don't wear them or anything. I just like to look at and touch them.
3. I have been inside a mosque.
4. When I was a kid, my brothers and I had a shared imaginary friend named Jason. He was a real troublemaker.
5. For about 20 years, I had serious survivor's guilt because I lost my parents and both my brothers in a car crash, and the reason I wasn't in the car was because I had thrown a tantrum over not wanting to go.
6. I love ancient cultures and non-modern foreign cultures. I like to imagine how I'd live if the industrial revolution never happened, even though I'm quite sure I'd be worse off.
7. Coffee is my favorite consumable, but I can only drink it with soy creamer.
8. People often mistake me for a girl, because I'm small, have long hair, and probably have unusual (non-manly?) body language.
9. The fairytale Gypsy stereotype (fortune teller, tambourine, coin belt) annoys me. I consider it equal to the mammy stereotype.
10. I have 2 cats, both black, probably brothers, who I adopted at the same time because they were totally attached to each other (still are) and cried when they were separated. They are good at comforting me when I'm sad and making me laugh when I'm upset.
11. I spent way too long trying to think of things that were remotely interesting. So this one goes to 11.

This looks like fun so I´ll try to give it a go.
1- I spent several years at whats known as the worst school on my city. My parents were worried that I would be unable to focus on my studies on a normal school so I had to spend 10 hours a day with people that were significantly older than me and had different views on almost everything. The whole the worst school isnt a joke for example I made up my answers to the homework most of the days and I was asked by my classmates to lower my knowledge a couple of times at the start of the course.
2-I love all star shoes and Ive gone as far as finding a pair that goes well with my suit for special ocassions(my pàrents approve of them and thats what matters) . I also try to have at least one with me most of the time by having a necklace that has a similar boot.
3- I have a thing for music and Im allways checking tourdates of groups I like(I have missed quite a few gigs in the past because I didnt and it doesnt take that much time).
4- I have 2 sisters that are older than me.
5- I have had to wear glasses since I was 6.Ive tried using contacts(giving them a second go right now) but I have some issues with how they feel and I keep moving them around my eye which makes my eyes go red(I have done some improvement on this area lately).
6- I cant do well at group sports.
7-I live in spain but I´d rather live in a english speaking country(moving out as soon as Im done with university).
8- I seem to have a tendency to overuse parantheses(in case you hadnt noticed) .
9- Im unable to remenber a person´s name when Im introduced to them so I try to ask someone its name if I begin to hang out with him frequently. Theoretically speaking it could be a girl but excluding a couple of exceptions Im mainly introduced to males.
10-Ive had issues with hairloss since I was 12.

9 - I like cats and will befriend any cat that will let me, I used to go for late night/early morning walks purely to enjoy the quiet streets and befriend cats.

Have a great day!
1. I went to mainstream school both primary and secondary. My parents considered switching me to the local Catholic school in primary and I nearly ended up going to a school with a unit for autistic children for secondary. I escaped that largely because the offer of support at secondary and because I wanted to learn a second language, which wasn't offered at the special school.
2. I'm scared of drains at the bottom of swimming pools, despite previously having an interest in drains. Although in the past few years I have overcome this fear to a small extent.
3. My favourite band is Stereolab, despite me largely being in to metal.
4. I'm standing in the district council elections.
5. I'm a vegetarian
6. When I have spaghetti bolognese (with Quorn mince, of course), I like the cheese in a separate bowl rather than on the bolognese.
7. I used to collect old computers. I still have some of them, but have been rationalising my collection recently.
8. I've been a GNU/Linux user since 1999, age 11. Red Hat 5.2 was the first distro I used.
9. I frequently run without being aware of it.
10. I don't drive, but were I to learn, I'd want an Alfa Romeo.
1. I'm 34 years old.
2. I'm a Libra.
3. I have two sisters, no brothers, in the middle.
4. There is nothing hanging on the walls of my flat.
5. I will hit snooze at least twice on the alarm.
6. I think I want to meet bucephalus.
7. I have flat feet.
8. My favorite color is red.
9. I drive a Toyota. It is red.
10. I just mailed out my taxes. I owe money to the government.

OK, CockneyRebel's done this twice so I will too.
1. My favorite artists are Alex Grey, Leonora Carrington, Remedios Varo, William Blake, Max Ernst, Kurt Schwitters, Hannah Hoech, and Dave McKean.
2. I've met Neil Gaiman (the Sandman author) twice. The second time he was doing a reading of Coraline, during a thunderstorm. This was very cool.
3. I collect Tarot cards, but I rarely use them for readings - mainly I just like the artwork.
4. My absolute favorite pizza in the world ever is the pesto from Hot Mama's on East Pine in Seattle.
5. I'm fascinated by fictional languages. I love Tolkien's Quenya and Ursula Le Guin's Kesh (from Always Coming Home), but I wish Richard Adams had come up with more Lapine (from Watership Down).
6. If I had the space, I would own an alpaca.
7. I'm always stopping to pet other people's (usually small) dogs.
8. Cello music often makes me cry.
9. I still have a lingering fear that something awful will happen to me if I'm in the same room as a toilet when it flushes.
10. I'm a passionate advocate of fat acceptance. I believe the whole 'obesity/health' connection is a great big red herring that stops people from dealing with real issues of health inequity and prejudice, and actually harms people's real health. Body image fascism makes me angry, especially when it's directed at kids. I'm a size 18 myself, and most of the crap I've experienced over this came from my own mother, so I can't begin to imagine how hard it must be for people much bigger than me, who seem to get it from almost everyone - but I fight to overcome body-hating crap wherever I find it. OK, polemic over.

ow!
lol!

It comes in handy, I mean if someone biffs you into water.
I agree, it's not pizza without anchovies.
I'll overlook the fact you're an atheist. You're instantly cool.

Apparently that is good for sexual arousal. Where can I get some?

I can relate to that. As a small child I was absolutely obsessed with drains and plug holes I would stand for ages just peering down them.. it would annoy my mother. I was also terrified of plug holes and drains.
