Rarely Goku allow you to touch her belly

My Avalon is the same way. Sometimes she will allow me to rub her belly briefly, if I am rubbing her ears or her chin at the same time, LOL.

Goku loves being rubbed between hel shoulders blades. That has been a luck because she was developing a sarcoma in that area, and we found it in time. Goku loves being rubbed on ears, head, chins, neck and somethimes near her tail. She's also very vocal, everytime i touch her she meows.

That was great about finding the sarcoma in time! Avalon is very vocal, too. But that is my fault, because when I first got her, I echoed every sound that she made, to show that I was paying attention to her. Now she won't shut up!

I did the same with Goku when she was a kitty. My parents find her annoiyng when she meows. I've read that cats try to talk like humans, and they can simulate the accent of the zone where they live.

I have 3 birds. The parakeet is more tame but less adventurous than the 2 finches which I have spoiled by letting them fly freely. Here one of them was in the parakeet's cage. It was playing with his toys too. LOL. This weekend I hope to get another friend for the parakeet.

Aw, I absolutely adore degus! I work with four at my animal shelter and they are the most cheeky little animals we have! They always want to escape from their tank and run around our rodent room! Interesting fact for those of you who don't know, the following are not rodents:

Rabbits (lagomorphs)
Guinea pigs (Octodon)
Degu (also Octodon)

Dear Grete, That degu has some serious-looking claws; do they scratch?
Dear Tomasu, Your lovely, velvety kitty seems to be making a face, like an angry Samurai!

Dear Cornflake, Thank you so very, very much for bringing this thread to us, I am enjoying it so much. This is already my favorite thread, assuming that no one on WP has pictures of pet Tarantulas or Piranhas or Octopi or those ghastly huge hissing Madagascar Cockroaches....eeewwww!

It was shrox who requested a pets and animals forum, which unfortunately we're not able to create.
But, this thread already existed and had become unstickied - so it lives again!
