Is Canadian Bacon from Canada?

Joking aside. Is Circus du Soleil orginally from Canada? I think that is a fantastic show and would love to see it again.

I give Canada two thumbs up for standing up to the Evil Empire (The USA) with regards to the Northern Arctic Passage. Go Canada!

Oui, skunk, Le Cirque du Soleil est complètement canadien. Il vient du Québec

The thing I like best about Canada is that we aren't warm all the time. Summer may be brutal, but at least I can look forward to winter. I can't for the life of me fathom what it would be like living in a place like, say, Brisbane, or Miami, or Maracaibo.

I went to McGill and I lived in Toronto, now I live in the CAlifornia desert and I LOVE it, althoug August is harsh (115 degrees, sometimes higher), and that's HOT!

Corey Hart and Parachute Club (especially Lorraine). Most importantly the best Canadian ever my friend George from BC who passed away from cancer in 1998.

Corey Hart rocks! I reference him in my blog, "I Wear My Sunglasses At Night".

- Vestiges of British civility
- Universal healthcare
- Tracts of open space to leave civilization behind
- Justin Rutledge
- We are alowed to go to Cuba (get good cigars)
- Less government surveilance
- Hey! We got a queen. The States has W.
- Every type of climate, except for tropical (this may change if we get the Turks and Caicos)
- Hockey (especially the Flames)

free health care

free education + universal student loans and bursaries (I am a single mom and can afford university without getting a job, at the end of 4 years, I will owe about 20,000$ and will be able to repay according to my income, try doing that in the states....)

7$ a day daycare

Montreal is the best city in the world, seriously, you need to come here, you'll never want to leave. Even the atrocious winters are worth it for all the good sides.

No George W Bush!! !

Multi-party system (ie actual democracy, or pretty close)

Freedom of speech (we have soldiers talking against our involvement in afghanistan, saying there is nothing anti-patriotic to doing so)

Ben Mulroney on Canadian Idol, seriously that show sucks so bad, you can't stop watching. I can't believe the son of a prime minister can stoop that low.
