Sorry to hear that. But what in the world is a DC-10 doing in the middle of Antarctica?

I'm suprised I actually got the name of the plane right! But anyway, it was one of those tour things. New Zealand is actually close to Antarctica if you look at it, but anyway it was a sight-seeing trip and-oh, right you did a little edit. Well, for those who can't be bothered clicking on the link, here's the long story short:

That smash is 600m long, or so the website says. It also says that as the plane crashed the fuel tanks exploded and blew up the fuselage. It took 20 hours to find the wreckage due to it flying off-course.
