Are you sure you'd be happier here? With the way the economy is and the prejudices people have against us poor people....unless you're part of the upper crust. Other than that, if it were me I'd go to San Francisco. The weather's warm all year around with a nice breeze I hear. If I was to move to a more economically stable country, it'd be Sweden.
Seriously MissConstrue, I was in San Francisco in July & froze my behind off! I met a young woman from Scotland who complained about it being bitter cold as well. It's also super expensive to live there.
WHAAAAAAAAT? Seriously? I always thought it was rather pleasant. I guess it just depends on your body. There is one woman at work who always sets the thermostat in the breakroom to 90 degrees when shes in there.......and its 95 degrees outside! I get hot real easy so The Bay was always very comfortable. I think the hottest it ever got when I was there was maybe 82? When that happened people there were acting like the sun was about to melt the earth.
Yeah well it was seriously cold there. I was wearing a hoodie & it didn't help at all. Now I am sensitive to temperature, & I have a narrow range where I am comfortable. But it felt like it was in the 50s with a windchill factor since it was breezy too. I couldn't tell you if it was a normal day or not being as I don't live there. But for someone from Scotland to complain about it being "bitter cold" (her exact words) should tell you it was certainly not a pleasant temperature.

Mark Twain once said: "The coldest winter I ever felt was the summer I spent in San Francisco" (or something like that)
SF is awesome culturally speaking but I prefer the weather in LA.

Wow....I must have a high tolerance for cold then. Come to think of it, my preferred weather temperature is in the 50's/60's lol.
