lol, it will. We're just having some people over. So it's kind of a party, because we're celebrating New Year's Eve... but not really.

Can I come over? I'll bring the root beer! :D

I've been invited to a couple, but I'm not going. I know if I do, I'll drink and therefore won't quit smoking at the stroke of twelve. If I don't quit at or before midnight, the whole resolution thing is ruined for me. So I'm not going.

I will probably be in bed with a book way before midnight.

As usual, I will stay inside. But I actually like it: the food will be great as always.

I am not going to a party, instead I am going to see my parents and eat vegetable pakoras and samosas with them at 10pm. My father would then normally switch tv channels for the next 2 hours until we all struggle to see the fireworks display out of a bedroom window.

This year I have convinced my parents that a short 2 minute drive is all that is required for a perfect view, they have agreed to come.

Husband and I always make a point to stay home, kind of bugs us how people get so excited about getting drunk. Can't stand drunk people so we stay home to not be massively annoyed by people being even more stupid then they normally are.

Never did see the big deal about New Year's, so you get a new calander, just don't get it I guess.

Yes. Boiled sweets they are. Quite nice too. Minty.

Also a form of expressing general miserlyness.

Sylkat: Yes they are. Black and white mints.

I was invited to a party, but declined cos public transport would be a nightmare.

I hope people don't accuse me of bragging, but I'm watching the Twilight Zone marathon on the Sci Fi channel. 8)

That is, unless my sister decides to kidnap me. I hope not.
