Most people have to do crap jobs before they get one they want anyway. It teaches you about different peoples lives. My sister and I were both encouraged to get jobs waitressing or at a supermarket becaore we got qualified.

I want to stack shelves at Woolworths, but mum won't let me because it's an early morning job.

I was doing consulting around that age, and a friend of mine was employed for Georgia Pacific at the same time. 'Course, it was a different era. No-one new anything 'bout computers. then.
