I would probably convert those euros into dollars

Not if I intend to move to France.

what i would claim is the following:

1. that no harm should ever befall any of my loved ones both body and soul.
2. that said loved ones find eternal happiness.
3. that i never be used to cause harm whether directly or indirectly whether through my soul or my body.

then and only then would i consider giving up my soul

It would be monetary wealth, infinite knowledge and enough time in my life to enjoy the previous two. Lets say to the late 80s

No, God gives you the option. The devil thinks your free will is a nuisance; he'd take it away in a second if he had the power.

Yet God presumes to own everyone's soul without them having say in the matter, seems he sees it as more of a nuisance. I say everyone owns their own soul until they decide to sell it to whatever spiritual entity they see fit.

Well unfortunately what you, or I say or think in the matter is irrelevant. If God is there, what he says goes, whether you think it fair or not. Trust me, I wrestle with the frustrating nature of this concept daily. If you don't believe it, in many ways you're better off.

But you have it sort of backwards if we're speaking in religious terms. God could not see free-will as a nuisance or he wouldn't have created it. If God exists he DOES own EVERYTHING because he created it all. God doesn't need to presume because he knows. We presume.

The Devil as the victim is basically the backbone to Luciferianism. It believes Satan was only trying to enlighten us when he got Eve to eat the apple, and that God really suppresses us because he fears what we can become. The Devil was banished to Hell for being our advocate to god as to the unfairness of the system.

Looks like all that metal music taught you some stuff huh?

Yes that is why if God is real I am going to hell regardless of if I was to sell my soul or not. Also if I was to birth a child does that mean I own it? No....creation does not grant ownership. Wouldn't stop him from thinking that though...in fact that would be humans downfall if we ever get artificial intelligence right, the mistake of assuming ownership.

Also if he's oh so great and powerful why can't he just destroy Satan and do away with hell and temptation? Something tells me he needs Satan, according to the Christian ideology of the devil existing at least.

I am quite familiar with the Luciferian belief that satan was only trying to enlighten us, though I thought they prefer using the name Lucifer rather than satan, it is interesting but I don't really believe in anything specific.

That sounds good except for the infinite knowledge, imagine how boring the human experience would be if you already knew everything. But monetary wealth and time to enjoy it might not be terrible, or at least monetary stability. Not sure what the third thing would be though.

When I was a kid there was a cartoon special that aired around Halloween called "The Devil and Daniel Mouse", where Daniel's girlfriend is going to sell her soul to become a famous glam rock star, but she tries to read the fine print on the contract before signing it, but the paper gets longer and and longer longer until and she possibly read it all, and of course soon like every other show or movie about selling your soul, it turns out not to be a awesome as you hoped, but if you try to go back to your old life, you're screwed, and if you don't, you're screwed anyway.

And who can forget "Mmmm, forbidden doughnut..."?

That reminds me ...
Quote:
An engineer died and reported to the pearly gates. An newly appointed angel, filling in for St. Peter, checked his dossier and grimly said, "Ah, you're an engineer; you're in the wrong place."

So the engineer was cast down to the gates of Hell and was let in. Pretty soon, the engineer became gravely dissatisfied with the level of comfort in Hell, and began designing and building improvements. NAfter a while, the Underworld had air conditioning, flush toilets, and escalators, and the engineer was becoming a pretty popular guy among the demons.

One day, Saint Peter called Satan up on the telephone and asked with a sneer, "So, how's it going down there in Hell?"

Satan laughed and replied, "Hey, things are going great. We've got air conditioning and flush toilets and escalators, and there's no telling what this engineer is going to come up with next."

Saint Peter's face clouded over and he exploded, "What? You've got an engineer? That's a mistake; he should never have gotten down there; send him up here."

Satan shook his head, "No way. I like having an engineer on the staff, and I'm keeping him."

Saint Peter was as mad as he had ever been, "This is not the way things are supposed to work and you know it. Send him back up here or I'll sue in the Highest Court!"

Satan laughed uproariously, "Yeah, right. And just where are YOU going to get a lawyer?"
