Daleks can't be negotiated with. They 'exterminate' whether or not you cooperate. The cat pictures will continue.

I don't mind if these cat threads keep going up.

I just turn to the other forum threads and topics, as I don't really like cats. :)

Thankfully I'm a member of a Starlight Express fan forum, so I can just about resist starting threads about that everywhere (although I can't resist talking about it in any obsession/collection threads around here :P ). It would be great to have an animal forum here though, or perhaps for now have an animal pic thread, where everyone could post pics of whatever animals they wanted. :D (In fact if there isn't one already, I may start one just for the sake of it! :P )

I am too wary of criticism to post about my obsessions.
Especially as one of them is the paranormal/spiritual, lol.
No one can really start a debate about cats so easily.

I am also really obsessed with the paranormal/spiritual. I have a skeptical attitude but I have always been intrigued by the unexplained - especially cryptozoology! I think it's fun for me because I have to have an explanation for everything and I love to come up with theories beyond "The UFO was a weather balloon."

I like cats, so I don't mind the cat threads. I love my cats and I'd have more cats if I could. As long as I have a few cats around, I don't feel the need to keep talking about them, but I understand why other people have that need.

At the moment I'm all consumed with the idea of becoming a professional violinist.

My cat has access to my computer and any excessive cat posts from "me" have really been from "him" :)

Yeah. There's actually a mixture that really helps with that - vinegar and something. I can't remember off hand, but it's really useful.

apparently ice is the best reatment. It stops the sting spreading

wiki wrote:
Vinegar (3 to 10% acetic acid in water) should be applied for box jellyfish stings.[1][2] However, vinegar is not recommended for Portuguese Man o' War stings

The reason is because it can make it worse in al ot of case. That is why it should not be confused with a jellyfish.
