-certain pesticides and herbicides
-agricultural monocultures

@lostonearth35: Reusable cloth menstrual pads are actually a lot more comfortable (and healthy) from my perspective. They can be thrown directly in the wash and dryer like any other clothing item. It beats adding heaps more plastic into our landfills and they don't have that plastic, crunchy texture that goes along with manufactured ones. Blahh!
