I pay $66 a month, for 6 MB service from Windstream, and I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions for a faster service, at about the same price(or less)?

I could go do some research, but what fun would that be? This is a forum, so we need stuff to talk about. *pats self on back*LOL

I live in central PA, I have Atlantic Broadband and have a 8mb/s connection and only pay half of what you pay ($30 a month). I looked it up and Windstream is majorly ripping you off, as there 12mb/s connection is only $40 a month, and there 6mb/s like you have is only $35
I would call them up and conplain
http://www.windstream.com/residential/broadband/

Hmm.....I just double checked my bill, and it says "High Speed internet: $66.09". WTF? 8O I'm going to have to call them tomorrow, and see what's up, and probably upgrade to 12 MB. :chin:

Thanks for checking that out. 8)

We get ~300kb/s for actual use and we're buying a 3 meg connection. Average of 2.87 mb/s down speed on the test, but that's not even close to realistic. 0.65mb up, and a ping of 41.

It's just an improvement when I switched providers, big major difference, but this is peak time... Off peak is completely different.

And my ping test.... MUCH more better than the first one I did here. :P
