it (imgbb) doesn't seem to be working for me.


Mod. edit: you need to have a URL that ends in an image file type - jpg, bmp, png and so on.

Ya that direct link isn't working for me right now. Not sure if it's correct, though. Not sure if they abbreviate to ibb.co links ? I never really pay any attention to the text of the url.

I'm in my 50's. My son is 29. His partner is almost 24. My daughter is 26. My adopted son in AUS is 26.

My son (29) lived away from home for several years when he went to Uni, so he hasn't always been here. My son (26) left home after high school and lived all over the world. My daughter (26) has always lived here but she used to see her dad a bit when she was growing up, and she also stayed at her boyfriend's house for a long time (with his parents), before they split up. She didn't live there officially but she was there a lot. At that time I didn't have any kids home. It was really peaceful. My daughter's girlfriend lives in UK and they might end up living together. We might all move back to UK anyway. It's too ridiculously expensive here for anyone to get a house or be independent. My kids don't even have cars.

Driving is another thing that's gotten very expensive. Even with maximum insurance discount and no car payment it runs me approximately $900-$1000/mo to operate my little car. (Not including if I have to pay for parking anywhere.) Plus I have a motorcycle and a truck - but I can't justify driving the truck full time as my gas bill would more than double from $500ish to $1000+/mo and rising as the price of gas keeps going up. Just checked google maps - regular 87 octane is $1.93/L right now.

I barely ever go anywhere now so I don't need the car. The kids work from home. I'm so glad they never got saddled with car payments or insurance etc. I must admit I still pay their car insurance. I guess they're a little spoiled but what the hell, they're good kids and it all comes out of the same bucket anyway.
