Strapples appreciation thread

He made my internet connection slower, by posting large images. I will never like Strapples, and no one can force me to like him. Once I dislike someone, that's it. I'll never like them again. Why don't people understand that I hate him?

People can understand that you hate him. What's harder to understand is why you feel the need to keep telling everybody that you hate him.

Just because you don't share interests doesn't mean you hate them. Hate is something you shouldn't take lightly.

Or sign up at a fantasy website where you might not hate as many people (Like me probably at this point - I just don't like such nastiness for no good reason).

I hate all people. But that because people don't treat me well.

Write it in a journal, punch a pillow, anything but hurt other people's feelings (I know that you might not get that if you have AS, but when you tell somebody you hate them, they're usually hurt)

But he hasn't said anything to you. I think you might need professional help if you truly think that everybody is out to get you, as you are living your life in a defensive mode. It's okay to have problems, but don't lash out on other people.

I dunno what to do about myself sometimes...

I was like that a couple years ago, all scared and defensive.

I've been going to a therapist ever since I nearly decided to commit suicide. You won't be crazy if you go, so many people go and really do get their life back together (After lots of hard work of course, something you do for everything in life if you want a good result)
I think you're probably a nice person, and I don't think you're truly bitter on the inside. I DON'T lie (Aspie trait of mine), so please believe me on this.

Not one!?! Do you have a big town near you? Maybe check around, go through the phone book. It's important, I know I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for therapy...

Maybe there is an online therapy group or one on one therapy out there?

I respect the fact that you're trying to help me, but there is honestly nothing I can really do because of my mother and the situation I'm in.

Okay, I at least know you heard me. Do PM me though if you need to talk about that situation or if you do want to get therapy, okay?

I like having Strapples post here. The way that he posts on about straps, is the same way that I used to post on about Routemasters. I also know how it feels, to be told not to talk about my favourite obsession on these forums. That's why I don't post about them 10 times a day, like I used to. We've got to consider what Strapples goes through, and the type of Spectrum disorder that he's diagnosed with. I knew a girl in High School who used to talk about alligators and Michale Jackson, all the time. She was lower on the spectrum, than I am. I didn't discourage her from speaking her mind. I didn't put her down, either. I've stuck by her side, until I graduated. We've drifted apart, after that. I was able to loosen up, and post about Routemasters again, because of Strapples. I think that says a lot, right here. I will cherish him, as a WP member and a friend.
