I just accepted the fact I was a spastic anyway, so I don't care if people think I'm ret*d or not.

I might be a bit spazzy, and it might seem I am occupied with other things, but with my ADHD, with added AS to boot, it makes a very, very, very good combination. I have an ability that no one else seems to have, really. The ability to hear a voice clip, and mentally make new phrases, and what not. For example. I have heard the old voice of Ash Ketchum. Within my head, I can modulate him saying, "Clamshells are fun!"(I know. Odd phrase, but proving a point.) among any other phrase I please. All I have to do is get the voice within my database memory, and within my head, they can say anything. It can even be a grunt, and I can base a voice off of that. I also can play music in my head, but that is a bit of an irrevency, but I can modify anything in my head if it is a sound like a compex sound proccessor. A rare musical talent if I say so. And who can call me a ret*d after that long winded explanition...probally many more than I think, out of "Yeah, right." So I would just go into another long winded lecture. Muhahaha.
(Gee, It sounds cool from reading it and thinking it. :P.)

When "ret*d" or "ret*d" are used as hate speech then no one wins. If we ever want to stop the discrimination against people with differences this crap has got to stop. What better place than here? People with mental retardation (you will note the language) are not stupid. They have neurological differences that affect cognition. For the most part they are doing the best they can with the neurology they have. People with developmental disabilities of any kind don't deserve the hatred.

""Erm, lots of people have that "ability".""

^

Yep, i do that myself, not very unsusal. Easily said
i can do whatever i want with music and such in my
head, mix several tunes together, listen to it, change
things in it, remove one instrument from a tune, et
cetera. Its very enjoyable and useful. Can also listen
to several music pieces at once and filter them out
so i hear the tunes cleary "over" each other. Have few
limits when it comes to music.

COULD A REATARD DO THAT?????

That's all well and good, but you need to work on your spelling, no offense.

Anyway, it seems like most people who call Aspies ret*d are doing it to piss us off. Then again, I've only been called socially ret*d, so meh.

ROFL... My spelling is bad, it has always been bad... (anyways there are mostly typos...) uhhhhhh...

The point remains though that most people do it because of a way to make themselvs feel well... right??? :?

I call myself ret*d. I find it funny. If black guys can say the 'n' word, I can say the 'r' word.

I consider myself ret*d too, I don't care for the fact that some people think I'm mentally inferior to them. When you think of it, being a ret*d spazz has it's plus-sides - you can get away with more things and the very people that annoy you will be paying YOU with their tax money.

Well I'm ret*d socially so I guess that puts me on the blacklist of mental retardation. Some people with socially high IQs don't know the difference so this leads me into questioning out of which of of the two are worse...

Social Retardation or Mental Retardation?

I don't think I wanna know.

I dont like the word, heard it being chucked around and it is increadibly insulting, I probably would consider attacking someone over someone being called it.

There is no need to feel offended, because people who use the word "ret*d" as an insult are too immature to be taken seriously. I mean, what adult (besides maniacs like Uwe Boll) would ever call someone a "ret*d" as an insult?

Its quiet easy, when someone calls me "a f-ing ret*d"
they mean to say that i am dumb, but use another word.
If they say "you are dumb" to me i can get insulted, so
doesn`t matter what words they use to "hide" it. Then i
call them idiots since "ret*d" is something you do, not
something you are.

So i dont get insulted by the word ret*d, i get insulted
by the meaning they put into it. "ret*d" is a very common
insult here i live and it means "you are dumb, dumbass!"
People using the expression are idiots and chickens. If i
feel the need to tell someone they are dumb, i say
"you are dumb".
