A shadow, 2.4 miles underwater, at night? That's quite a feat.

I'm sure it must be a darker kind of darkness. Probably if you lived down there you would know the difference if a large ship was about to land on your head.

I don't think any light at all ever makes it down to that depth, but they probably felt some vibration or current or compression as the ship got close. I feel bad for the animals like crabs and lobsters that could tell it was coming, but couldn't move fast enough. 
And the passengers.

Anyone got anything moe cheerful to talk about? Between drowning passengers, squashed sea life and unspeakable unicorns, tonight is proving rather harrowing. I might have to go back to Finnish verb conjugations for a bit of light relief.

I used to love the graveyard shift Sylkat. Much quieter, less people around.
But now I'm on a normal schedule, I'm a grumpy monster in the morning if I don't get to bed at a sensible time.

If I was the same type of were-creature as Jacob in Twilight, I could change at will, not just when the moon was full. How ex-shellent would that be?
