He's 15. It's my fault. I'd noticed that he'd lost some weight and I was hoping it was just the switch to scheduled, weight reduction meals (for my other hugely fat cat) but the Vet says he's probably hyperthyroid. So the condition is treatable but the blindness is probably permanant. Truthfully, he doesn't seem bothered and he was never allowed outside anyway. He'll be fine, I just feel terribly guilty.

15 years that's a good age for a cat my other one was 14 the one I have now is 8.

And your cat is 15? Mine is either turning 11 or 12 this year (I lost count of how old she is; I've never had a cat live this long before).

my arm is sore from yesterday. i hadn't realised i had scratched my skin to the point where it bled.

talking to family makes me want to smash my head against a wall. everytime i voice my opinion on something or say how i feel i get told to shut up and suck it up and keep it to myself. but they keep asking me how i feel to begin with. it is because they disagree with me. they know what i will say. why do they keep asking the same question?

my relative gave birth. this means i will have to see her and say congrats which i do not want to do.

You and I both. I've gotten into conflicts with one member over such things. I was attacked on account of The Kinks twice by the same member. Once in a thread where I was asking if my special interests were unusual for WP and another time when I posted pictures of my favourite band just to show people on WP what clothes I prefer. She posted a puking avatar following my post and than she removed it because a moderator told her to. She should have done so, for the sake of doing the right thing.

Yes, I do hold grudges. I'm that sensitive.

I don't see how anyone can insult your special interest. It's not like liking an old band is something that unusual or weird. Even if it was it's harmless and doesn't affect them.

I don't understand it, either to be honest. That person's been on my tail for a while. It's the intensity of that interest that the person doesn't like. Some members feel that the more expressive members should water down the intensity of their interests here. That just makes me want to post about The Kinks even more. I haven't been around because of all that. I've decided not to let her have the power or the satisfaction, anymore. I've decided that I can post here and watch the Olympics at the same time without missing the action on TV. I've decided to come back out of my shell and start posting here again.
