i have often speculated that one day i will have a 40,000 acre property, and the driveway would be 10 km in length and be lined with meticulously groomed hedges. if i had no turn around space, then i would have to reverse 10 km back to get to back on the road.
With 40,000 acres maybe you will be able to find a little spot in which to turn around. Unless you particularly enjoy driving in reverse.

what if the hedges went all the way to the garage door and one could only enter the house from a side door in the garage ?
i absolutely detest reversing. i thought i had come up with a solution to the potential problem of reversing to the main road 10 km away (in that hypothetical situation). the solution was not driving up my driveway in a forward direction, but backing up my driveway so that i would not have to reverse out the next time i went for supplies.
i then discovered that that was an inefficient solution.
so the solution i finally settled on was to have 2 cars. one always facing the house, and the other always facing the road, and a tow rope. in the morning, i would get in the car facing the road and tow the other car facing away from the road to the font gate where i would untether it and proceed to where i want to go.
when i get home, i would back my car into the driveway and tether it to the car facing my house, and i then drive the car facing my house back to my house towing the excursion car backwards up the driveway.
much easier than making a turning circle.
