Sounds like a lovely life to me 
1. I've been on every (present day) train in the subway.
2. Subways used to have plastic/lanyard material for their seats.
3. There was universal air-conditioning in the subways by the late 1970s.

I agree. I think I'll let him know. He virtually lives on that beautiful property, and I could tend to his garden between books.

We didn’t have abundant AC until about 1983. Correct

I got freaked out by all that dragon stuff in Sleeping Beauty, and had no idea why there was such a violent conflict. It got out of hand and I lost comprehension.

I watched the Disney animators draw and paint proofs for the spinning dish scene (Be Our Guest), in Beauty and the Beast during a tour at Disney in 1990 -- prior to the movie's release. I've been hooked on the movie ever since because ... hmm... that character of Belle .... hmmm.... kind of like me with her books.
Oh, and The Lion King. Who sings those songs, again?
