I have never donated blood, no. Although I have had my blood taken for tests numerous times and because those are conditional for some medication that I take.

Do you carry an umbrella on rainy days?

If I remember to.

Do you use sunscreen?

I don't own an umbrella.
Never have.

I don't use sunscreen either.
I stay inside if it's high UVA/UVB.

Do you know how to get these freaking photographs off a Nikon Cool Pix S7000 camera and onto my laptop?
I've tried everything short of shooting it with a gun.

This is an issue that's given me a fair bit of aggro over the years as well. As far as I can make out with these types of cameras, you can either attach a lead from the camera to one of your PC's usb sockets and play around with the options until you manage to get the pics on your hard drive, or maybe remove the sd card from your camera and make a direct connection with the pc, either via an sd socket or a usb adaptor (card reader). You may or may not succeed with this - it's worked for me so far, but it's usually a very tricky and lengthy process and I'm never entirely sure what I'm doing....

Which Western European country would you choose to live in if you had to emigrate?

I've tried the cable and the sd card. My laptop doesn't find them at all. Nothing opens. Nothing happens. It's my mother's old camera and she wants some of the pictures in an album but I can't get them off the camera.

I would live in the Hebrides.
If you aren't counting UK, then Belgium.

Difficult. I've always thought Germany in the past, but the country seems to have been going to the dogs from reports I've read over the past year or two. The Netherlands might seem to be a viable alternative, especially as everyone seems to speak fluent English there, but quite a few Dutch people I've met have seemed to be disconcertingly abrasive, lol. Portugal would also be an option, not sure I'd be able to deal with the culture shock though - any experiences from other WP members welcome...!

Is the world still getting better, or are we on a downward slope in the mid-2020s in your view?

The world is always the same, imo.
Nothing changes.

Usually two, sometimes three.

Have you had any extreme weather events in the last two or three months in your country?

No, the weather here is pretty much exactly as it was from what I remember it 50 years ago, and no doubt from 100 years ago (when I don't remember it). We have endless rain all the year round, a couple of cold winters per decade, one or two hot summers per decade, plus ça change...

Do you expect still to be alive 10 years from now?
