I have not.

Which adaptation of How the Grinch Stole Christmas do you think is the best one?

I have strong feelings about this which i have shared elsewhere but will do so again. The Boris Karloff animated Grinch is the only Grinch that matters. It's beautiful and pure. The other ones I'm aware of, the CGI cartoon and the Jim Carrey live action one, are cynical travesties that ought to be avoided.

Do you have any really old Christmas decorations?

Not really, my oldest ones are about 30 years old.

Do you enjoy eating traditional steamed Christmas pudding? If so, what do you serve it with- runny custard, cream, brandy butter or something else?

I bought a couple of Christmas Puddings from Aldi for the first time in at least ten years this week. They were their smallest ones (100g), whereas they also sell 400g and 800g versions. I ate them with an accompaniment of semi-skimmed evaporated milk. Verdict: pretty good, will probably have Christmas Pudding again next year....

Do you like 'Stollen' cake, which seems to appear (in this part of the world at least) at Christmas time?

Not really, the ones that I have tried have all seemed quite dry and overly sweet.

Do you like panettone?

I don't really know what it is. I've seen it in the shops but never tried it.

Do you like Battenburg cake?

I'd like to be from Finland or Denmark because they are the happiest countries according to the World Happiness Report.

Same question.

Toss up between New Zealand and Norway. Because they're both places I suspect I'd be happier living and I'd like to check them out.

Same q.

England, but if not Australia or New Zealand.

How walkable of a city is where you live? Is it safe for pedestrians?

It is getting better for pedestrians, but the city I live in is rather big and not everywhere caters for pedestrians.

Same question.

I live in a small town, so one would think it’d be very walkable. On the main streets people tend to drive fast and not look out for pedestrians. A couple people were hit and killed recently. Maybe the problem is not having enough traffic to slow people down.

Do you like snow?
