A week ago, I set an alarm on my phone so I wouldn't sleep for 12 hours. The sound of the alarm made me dream that I was on a submarine.

I had more disjointed dreams about my parents and the army and being lost in a strange place in the future that looked vaguely familiar. I dreamt I was in an induction area for eventual transfer to a FEMA camp somewhere in the country, it was the near future and the robots had taken all the working class jobs and so to maintain social order the gov't rounded up all us "riffraff" to get us away from the respectable middle-class types [whom the robots had not yet replaced], and put us to work on farms as slaves. one member of my aspie group tried to run away and they pistol-whipped him and beat the snot out of him and cussed him out and dragged him back in chains and threw him back down on the ground.

I dreamt a certain ex-WP ex and several other people including myself, was walking through a broad covered corridor in a large office park somewhere, constructed in the style of ancient roman ruins but updated to modernity. everybody but me was dressed in business attire, I was wearing my usual "uniform" of bathrobe and slippers. I was walking next to this person when all of a sudden a woman resembling a tall version of dr. ruth kicked one of my slippers off, and while I slowed down to put it back on she took my place next to this WP friend and started speaking Hebrew to her, and my WP friend replied back in Hebrew. then I awoke.

My dreams are in high detail, with varying colour schemes. I often remember the dreams well enough to draw and label a map of where I went in the dream.

Two nights ago I had a horrific nightmare where I was being chased around a church by a horde of headless women.

My uncle, a very successful man, had a recurring dream for decades that something was chasing him. After he retired, I asked him if he was still having the dream. With surprise on his face, he said, "No! It's gone!" I believe what was chasing him was success. He was a workaholic.

I hope you can figure out what's chasing you and make it stop. My uncle would have kept his nightmare; he wanted the success and no other life. But it would be better to know what it is. My best to you.

That's funny. You were really "submerged" in sleep. What a lovely image! Did you surface?

This thread makes me realize that I have stopped dreaming. I know that I'm only not remembering them.

But I used to be the dream wizard, for myself. I was in Jungian analysis and wrote down all my dreams, learned to analyze them in depth, let them guide me etc.

When I retired, I decided to change my entire life and not be like my Mom, who stayed isolated. I have made massive changes in my life. Especially I have fought through my panic attacks to get out and meet people. I am mostly miserable, although swimming is good.

But I stopped dreaming! AuntBlabby, I can't thank you enough for making me see this. Even as I type, I realize I am *consciously* controlling my life with an iron fist. I'm so determined to become new, I'm ignoring my dreams! I'll get back to you after I get a notepad and have a nap.

Interesting imagery. you're in a bathrobe and slippers walking with someone through "a corridor of power" (a cross between ancient Rome and a modern office) with folks in business attire. Someone steals your companion and starts to converse with them in an alien language you dont understand to seal you out of the conversation.

I picked Ice Cream, like usual.

Once, I dreamt that I was about ten years old, and that it was 1963. It was very pleasant--because people seemed to respect each other then.

I don't frequently remember my dreams.

Lately, my dreams have been quite vivid, and they have been of the sort where I'm in a bind--and I can't get out of it, no matter how hard I try.

I haven't remembered my dreams for the past couple nights. Any ideas why that might be?

Vivid dreams usually mean (to me) that the dream is trying to tell me something serious - kind of like underlining words. Emphasis. How does that strike you?

That makes sense. They're trying to tell me not to let myself get in situations I can't get out of.

I'm at higher risk of it due to my Ulcerative Colitis. My UC has been pretty bad lately, putting the future of my health in my mind. My conscious mind hasn't really been worried about cancer, but I guess my subconscious is trying to prepare for that possibility.
