My mom and my aunt (her younger sister) have gone off to Florida today. Well, they must be at the airport in Halifax at least. The weather here is rainy and kind of nasty, so I hope it hasn't caused any problems.

I've been reading up on Florida and I'm now really curious about what part of it they've gone to and what they plan to be doing. There seems to be a lot of things to see and do there - besides going to Disney World, obviously, but I have to wait until next weekend when they come back to find out. I do know mom plans to start some early Christmas shopping. :)

I could have sworn there was a directors cut version of The Stand. The bit near the end where Ralph & Larry are in the dismemberment thingo. I swear the first time I watched this they actually got part way through the execution and it was kinda painful to watch. In the "normal" version which I watched just then they don't even get to wind the chains around once before Whit jumps on the soapbox.

On a similar note, I've been looking for a cut of Predator 2 for a very long time that I've only ever seen on Oz TV as a kid.

At first I thought I was mistaken, until I eventually found a few other people in Oz online that saw the same cut. (I saw them post about such without me inquiring, so that means they probably did see the same scene and I wasn't mistaken.)

Near the beginning, in the "armory" scene with El Scorpio and his gang, it normally cuts away when Predator jumps through the ceiling and kills the gang. The cut I saw had Pred slicing and dicing them.

I get why it'd be cut; too early to show such, and they show a similar scene at the "penthouse" (and later on a couple of more times); less violence too, so less chance of a "R" rating.

The Stand and Predator 2.

Great website that details the differences between various cuts of films.

It still doesn't mention anything about the scene I'm talking about. But at least I know which version I've been watching now (the Artisan one).

Nobody thinks you're annoying or any of these things about you IMO. Even if some do, you can never please everyone. ^^

Bloody daylight savings ...

I set my phone alarm to 4:30 am so that I could go for an early walk this morning. And sure enough it woke me up. However my wall clock said that the time was only 3:30. Turns out my phone had been set to Sydney time, which has just started their daylight savings; here in Queensland, we don't have it at all. So now I've had an hour's less sleep than I had originally planned. Good grief.

Oh well, at least it's Sunday today.

Wondering when the right time will be to start harassing that fleet guy about the car's delivery date and how it's progressing if I have a factory order. I'd hate to be kept in the dark until the last minute. I don't even know which dealer they're liaising with.

I'm trying to remember my text for a presentation I have to hold next week.
And I'm nervous because I'm going to write three tests in Math, English and German.
This week is going to be horrible.

I was looking at dessert recipes on WikiHow, and there was one on how to make Jello. Just plain old Jello.

Seriously? Doesn't anyone even read the instructions on the packages?

I'm planning to make Birthday Cake pancakes, which I also learned about on WikiHow. No it's not anyone's birthday that I know of, but who needs one? You just mix cake batter and pancake batter together and cook it like pancakes, and top it with frosting and maybe some sprinkles. Yum! :)

I've noticed there are a lot of Day Of The Dead skeleton figurines, decorations and masks out this October. I find it amusing because I doubt most people where I live have a clue about the Day Of The Dead holiday that's celebrated in Mexico and possibly parts of Canada and the US where there are people of Mexican heritage on November 1st, and they think it is all primarily for Halloween. :P
