When I was a kid I would often give my mother a bear to sleep with so that she wouldn't feel so alone and to show affection for her so that I wouldn't feel so alone.

I hang mistletoe in my entryway year round and have fires in my fireplace on Halloween, Christmas (Yule) and May Eve (Beltane). It's as close as the actual date which is usually about a week later..... :ninja:
