I think it was my mother's mother that gave her a ring with an amethyst stone (I think it was fake, but amythest is like $14 for a big rock of it, so I don't know why they didn't get her one of those or a real amythest ring.) She never wore it and gave it to me.

in high school i was a devoted 60's radical. i was vocally opposed to the war in vietnam, thought LBJ was the embodiment of Evil, and felt guilty for never having thrown a molotov cocktail thru the windows of a bank, a draft board, or anywhere else.

i went to high school in the early '90s.

I started kindergarten in 1993.

i'm the only member of my extended family who's proud to be related to our only famous relative. he was an attorney, and the only relative (as far as i know) who ever wrote a book that was widely circulated. he's famous for being one of the most prolific american mass-murderers, but i like that people in his community didn't mind so much about trail of the dead and most of them thought he was a pretty great guy.

He wrote the book and was a mass murderer? Was it an autobiography? Was it to help himself represent himself in court? Tell me more!

I used to have an embarrassing snot problem when I was a kid. This gross, thick but runny snot would come out and regenerate really fast, so that I'd go through a box of kleenex a day, sometimes more.
