Thank you for posting the turtles, dear Skilpadde!

Still getting used to the new format and having to log in from scratch.

How are you, Sylkat? Wanna turtle or two? :D

I really like pictures of hatchling sea turtles.......they are unbelievably cute, with their over-sized flippers!

Oh, thank you!

The third one looks......blue!

Do blue turtles exist?

We know green turtles exist. What about other colors? Red? Purple?

It certainly looks like it but it just looks blueish. Green sea turtles aren't supposed to have any blue to them.
Albinos seem to though.

And leatherbacks can have a blueish tint to them

Kyle, there are turtles called black sea turtles. They are a separate population of green sea turtle. Some but not all consider it a separate species.
Green sea turtles are called green because of the color of the layer of fat between their shells and their inner organs.

In Norwegian green turtles are called suppeskilpadde. No extra points for figuring out what that means.

Bet no one knew turtles do push-ups.

Turtles are so colorful and wonderful! :D

I don't think it is. It's so undignified to be held like that, you know, when you're a big hatchling!

Adorable pictures, Skilpadde.

What's with the frog/toad ones, though? They're cute, too.
