i had the strangest dream, i was back in the army, in the hospital- trumpy was given, by the military, command of my hospital as a consolation prize in return for him not setting up a constitutional crisis and installing himself as emperor. i ran into him at the mess hall along with his sergeant major who looked like one of his white house flunkies whose name escapes me. he eventually called me into his command suite and told me "i coulda sicked my sergeant major on you, but instead decided to give you the benefit of the doubt- you know you can't wear a ponytail in this army, i'm sending you to the hospital barber to fix that." so i walked down the hall to the barber, when some psychiatrist from the pediatric clinic grabbed my arm and exhorted me to follow him to his clinic as he needed me for an experiment, he was dressed like a university professor with brown corduroy tweed jacket with leather elbow patches, navy blue bowtie, charcoal cuffed slacks, old fashioned cordovan penny loafers with shiny penny in each, argyle socks, somewhat wild brown hair, bespectacled. we arrived at his office, he had me kneel down and told me to "be very quiet" - i kneed my way into his treatment room which was full of equipment and other staffers off in the distance, and a lot of cats in various breeds. i asked him when the experiment would start, he told me casually that they weren't ready yet. a brown and white-patterned mongrel cat with a elvis-style brown pompadour on his head, rubbed his head against my hand, prompting a jowl and ear scratch which made him purr very loudly, and the shrink didn't like that at all, he glared at me like i was bothering "his" cat and said "please leave now." then i awoke.

i dreamt i test-drove a tiny black car, it was miraculous in that it was teeny tiny from the outside, the size of a porche 914 coupe, but when i got inside of it, it was relatively enormous, the size of a minivan. and instead of riding harshly like a sports car, it rode hushed and smoothly over some rough and bumpy roads. i was driving to my brother's house for some reason that evaporated when i awoke.

Yesterday I dreamed that I was elected as the Zoom Word Monitor. I had to oversee all the current Zoom conversations worldwide, and ensure people were using the right vocabulary in keeping with their jobs instead of being informal at home.

I was trying to get out of the job because I don't want a job (! !), and because I've never used Zoom in my life.
(Nor would I want to).

Possible Trigger (dead bodies):

Later in the dream I was in a dark parking structure, and dead bodies fell out from a passing car. They were rolled in cloth body bags, nicely designed with flowers and tassels. I was shocked to say the least. One in particular fell right in front of me just as I was about to exit. I decided it was my moral obligation to drag the corpse / bodybag out to daylight so I could notify police. It was easier to drag it by its feet, but I felt badly that the person's head was hitting the ground. Then I noticed that there were security cameras and CCTV watching my every move. I thought I would be accused of killing the person rather than trying to help. I can't remember how it ended, but I was trying to evade the security cameras.

i had another strange one where i was staying with some ex-army people i knew when i was in the army in the 1980s, they invited me to vacation at their fancy place in arkansas, that had high fidelity stereo speakers all over the place, large ones the size of a chest freezer standing up on its side. then the dream segued to a laboratory with a bunch of cats wandering around, with one gray tabby resting atop a carpeted pillowed table, very comfortable despite the lady scientist in white lab coat inserting [bloodlessly, somehow] some metal tubes that went around one of its middle toes, the cat was in a regal resting position similar to the sphinx in egypt, and purring. it also had a black probe clamped above its left eye, and also one on its left ear, and on computer monitors and other lab assistants wearing 3D goggles, they were seeing a real-time data and aural-visual-somatic feed translated from brain waves, IOW they could see and hear and get an impression of what the cat was seeing and hearing and feeling and thinking.

I dreamed I was the white cat from The Aristocats.

I had three kittens and named them Firetruck, Coco Milk, and 80's.

:cat: :cat: :cat: LOL

Kittens again. Almost always kittens.

I was also at some type of important medical appointment but the doctors didn't actually do anything. They were very grateful I attended and it was important that I be there, but they didn't need to talk to me or do any examinations. I couldn't remember what the big deal was, or why I had to attend.

Someone had invented a rubber ring with a little motor for autistic people, which propelled whoever was in it round in circles. During the demonstration, which no one had attended, an elderly man drffted away from the shore, out to the center of a lake.

My dreams aren't usually all that weird in and of themselves. What I find weird is what I think they sometimes represent.

Occasionally I get rage dreams, where I go on a rampage and start destroying things and hurting people. As the situation escalates I sometimes discover that I'm invincible. Even the police and military are unable to stop me from leaving a trail of destruction everywhere I go. Usually the large-scale destruction doesn't last too long, taking up what only feels like a few minutes of dream time. My brain starts fighting the dream by making me slow down and feel heavy and sluggish, and I wake up, often snapping upright in bed with my heart racing.

Other times I'm not invincible and I get arrested or mortally wounded. When the arrest or fatal takedown happens I'm usually surrounded by people I know. Friends, extended family, coworkers, romantic interests long gone. I apologize remorsefully with tears rolling down my face as I'm handcuffed or as my vision fades to the blackness of death.

Everything is always very vivid, too. Full color, full-speed motion, 3D from a first-person perspective, with all my senses working as if I were awake. I feel inner-ear balance, the passage of time, body positioning, heat and cold, various odors. I even remember things that happened in real life outside of my dreams.

The strange part that these nightmares seem to be representations of things that I worry about during the day. They usually accompany periods of high stress in my life, where I often feel a physical urge in my arm to throw something at a wall or knock somebody's lights out. I think these dreams are my brain's way of trying to let out this pent up stress.

Even when I'm sleeping I get no rest.

I have a good memory. But, like lots of Aspies, I don't dream. Or at least, when I wake I don't ever remember having had a dream.

I've lived in London, UK for nearly forty years. Under normal circumstances, like most cities, pretty much everything is available somehow/somewhere, and generally there's some sort of people movement. But, when the UK went into Covid-19 lockdown, I found it so surreal: For several days after it started I was genuinely convinced I was dreaming and would soon wake up. It's been totally beyond my imagination that we'd go through this, given how well the WHO has managed previous potential pandemics in the last decade or so.

We truly are living in the weirdest timeline. Everything has turned upside down, people are protesting for the right to risk dying for their economy, Steak-umm's Twitter account has been dropping more wisdom and truth bombs than the most powerful man on the planet, and at any second I fully expect to see an endless parade of dodo birds going past my front door because, hey, why not? May as well crank up the weirdness and go all-out.

The simulation is glitching out. Somebody please debug it before it crashes and we're all pulled into a singularity and wiped from existence.

I had some dream about owls that were floating around in the air, not flapping their wings, just floating and staring with their owly eyes, and some person was cracking a whip at them to make them leave. I think there was some Harry Potter connection and the whip cracker was a Muggle who thought owls were evil.

Or it may have been a real person who believed owls are connected to black magic and evil because last night I was listening to a video about people whose parents believed in all kinds of ridiculous conspiracy theories and this one person said when they had hating reading until they started reading Harry Potter, but then some guy, a priest I think, told their parents about how eeevil the books were, so they took the books away, and the kid hated reading again and wouldn't read other books, and they've only seen the first two movies. Sad. :(
