I do not get why the Philippine government wants its citizens to register all their SIM cards and communications equipment right down to the make, model, and serial number.
Scammers, phishers, fake news spreaders and more types of suspicious users.
Especially users in the Globe network, which there are plenty who spam text messages with links and false information.
Not much in Smart network apparently... Unsure how it is with other networks.
I'm aware it's a step towards losing privacy, possible link to identity theft when criminals are savvy enough or something like that.
But then people here doesn't know how to solve the scammers and phishers problem.
I know not the whole story. And I care a little since my data isn't important.
Anyways.
I don't understand the fear of oblivion.
And so... I still don't fricking understand why people fricking refuses to listen to me when I said I want to keep things to myself.
From not taking a picture of me to mentioning me in any social media. My mom especially.
THEN PEOPLE SAY I'M WROOONG.
I should "leave a legacy to have the future generation stories about me".
BUT I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE A FRICKING MARK AND I DON'T FRICKING CARE ABOUT THE STUPID STORY ABOUT ME, ESPECIALLY BY THEN WHEN I'M LONG DEAD.
Do good and great, and then spread the word about it.
HUH, DO PEOPLE HAVE TO KNOW?? WAS THAT EVEN NECESSARY??
I think that's just fricking conceited. But then this is their world, and their way.
I'd rather be forgotten. Obscured by time.
Not whatever people are glorifying about their fear of oblivion.
It's useless to protest when the people around me refuses to listen to me when I say I want to keep things to myself.
If I were financially independent, I would've left already. Erase every trace that I existed from the get go. Live as someone else no one knew.
