I like how the robins seem to trust me enough to come up so close to me. :D

I hope they aren't planning to eat me.

That reminds me.....

I was at the park the other day with some popcorn.
Some of it fell on the ground, and I left, and the birds flocked to it.
I had some left, and wanted to see how close the birds would come.
So I threw one kernel nearby, and they wouldn't come by.
Then I started reading my book again, I sorta half looked, and there was a bird there.
It took a few steps, looked around, took a few steps, looked around, grabbed the kernel, looked at me, and ran away.
Made my day.

I caught a Robin which had become trapped in the kitchen and took it outside to release it.
I opened my hand, expecting it to fly away immediately - but it hopped up and sat on my thumb, where it calmly tidied up its feathers for a while and then sat there for almost 5 minutes, just looking around and at me before deciding to fly away. It even let me scratch its head!
That really made my day.

I had no idea Robins had such beautiful eyes. So large, compared to their head size, and this little character didn't mind at all as I examined him closely.
I held him up and moved my hand around to get a better look while he was perched on my thumb - not in the least bit bothered.

Listening to Great Big Sea & feeling proud of myself because my advice was helpful.
