Someone at work said something a bit scary. Her family friend didn't have any symptoms of cancer until one week before he died from it. So you could be looking healthy now and die from cancer in a week's time.

I don't mean to sound insensitive, but comparing that death to the cancer deaths I've seen, that sounds like the best possible way to die from cancer.

I also have that issue, and I bet more people here share it.

I notice your Ace avatar and username:

Ace Frehley was a 3 month Special Interest of mine about a month ago. I've always liked KISS a lot and when I was a kid, Paul Stanley used to be my favourite but as Special Interests go, you often don't know why they start up and Ace was it. I even learnt about his daughter, partner and ex partners, where he lives, the jewelry he wears, his tshirts, how he dresses, his Harley and of course his guitars and music.
I went berzerk buying, collecting, researching etc. and just as quickly as it started, it ended but I did discover he has a huge number of good songs he's done since leaving KISS and they're good. Really good!

I also found out how much I don't like Gene Simmons.

You have no idea. :) The only thing bigger than the list of unwatched DVDs and Blu-rays I have sitting around is the list of unread books sitting on the half-dozen bookcases in my bedroom.

Us poor Aspies suffer at the hands of these NTs. We may not have a filter for our mouths but at least our mistakes are honest and accidental. On the other hand, when an NT calls you a ret*d, he knows exactly what he's saying and intends it to hurt. THAT'S the difference!

I'd love to buy a car in WA and then drive it all the way back to NSW, but the rego transfer between states would be a bit complicated.

Whilst only 3.something millimeters longer, the .22-250 round is quite a bit larger than the .223 in width. I've never handled a .22-250 or its parent round (.250-3000) before the recent varmint rifle purchase.

Putting it next to a spare .223 round I have (inherited those from my father), you can really see the increase in case size and where the extra 500 or so feet per second comes from.

Picture; .223 (5.56x45mm NATO), .22-250 (that'd be...5.56x48.6mm), and 6.5x52mm Carcano on the right (JFK fame, though typical of a deer round in comparison to the smaller game ones on the left):

Hey blue_bean, where abouts in Sydney are you? I'm in the Bankstown region.
