I'm trying to find some snakeskin heels in SL to complete my femme version take on the bad guy from Far Cry 4. My suit is a dusty pink/mauve, and I've got a Tilda Swinton like hairdo going.

You know the urge to shoot the piece will be great. I mean, just once... .

Half powder charge, undersize ball (.38 cal) with patch, and a typical cap.... I'm sure it'd be perfectly fine with a full charge, but you know. Just spitting out a ball with smoke and a boom from a 1850-1860 piece would be legendary (fully loading it and letting off all five rapidly would be godly).

I broke another wineglass. Is it me being clumsy or wineglasses being too fragile?

i have been having a bugger of a time.

in red dead redemption, i have accepted a bounty (a trivial side mission) and i mark the position on my map, and i save the game (sleep in my hut) and i have to ride there when i wake up and assassinate all his henchmen and then lasso him and hog tie him (he is worth $400 alive but only $200 dead), and then pick him up and drape him on my horse and ride back to a town called "blackwater" which is miles away and dump him at the town hall for my reward.

"seems easy enough", i thought.

1st go:
wake up and walk out on the street and whistle for my horse to come, and before he gets to me, a woman who is being abducted screams for help, and i decide to help her by using my lasso to catch the abductor, but i miss and he shoots me dead. i should have shot him in the head but i used the lasso because it earns more honor points (which are useful) due to not killing anyone. whatever.
_______________________________
2nd go:
wake up and walk out on the street and whistle for my horse to come, and we ride off in the direction of the bounty. after a short while, i am confronted by a bear who starts chasing us (me and my horse). i am aware that a bear can kill a horse with one swipe, and i like my horse, so i dismount and aim for the bear. unfortunately i am still armed with the bloody lasso (i forgot to switch to a more apt weapon), and the bear kills me.
_______________________________________
3rd go: wake up and walk out on the street and whistle for my horse to come, and we ride off in the direction of the bounty. after a short while, there are wolves snapping at the heels of my horse and i shoot them. their pelts are worth money in town, so i dismount and skin them, and as i am mounting up again, more wolves start to rush at me, so i hop off and shoot at a wolf, but i hit a man who is riding between me and the wolf, and he is killed and suddenly the police are after me!! !.

bloody hell!!

i should have stayed single minded and just rode to the mission, but i can not help but be distracted by the smallest things (like dismounting and putting myself in peril to skin a wolf who's pelt is worth $4 while on my way to a bounty that will earn me $400).
i know that if i am wanted by police, i lose my honour and good name in town, and i can buy less things and i have to pay more for stuff and i get less jobs. if i kill the police who are after me, my wanted status grows and i become an outlaw and no one will deal with me, so i just reloaded from my last sleep to avoid the trouble.
_______

4th go: wake up and walk out on the street and whistle for my horse to come, and we ride off in the direction of the bounty. i am single minded and determined not to be distracted. i ride at full speed (bears can not catch me but the horse gets rather sh***y) toward the bounty, and i dismount at a safe distance from their camp so my horse will not get injured, and i creep up on them and kill all of his henchmen, and then i can not resist running over to each of their bodies and looting them ($6 a pop). there about 12 of them.
in the time it took me to loot the dead men the bounty escaped. mission failed. i lost $400 to scrounge $72!! !. reload game.
________________
5th go: same old. ignored everything all the way there, and hogtied the bounty and called for my horse to put the bounty on, and because i was on a perilous mountain pass, the horse could not reach me, so i had to carry the bounty, and i could not work out how to get back off the mountain without falling. i tried a direction in which i lost my footing and we both fell to our deaths. i was rushed, because as soon as i capture the bounty, swarms of his other allies start to come into the area and i have precious little time to escape. reload (this is the hardest mission so far in the game)
___________________
i have an idea. i will try to locate one of his henchmen on the mountain in the scope of my sniper rifle and snipe him and hopefully draw them all down to ground level. but at ground level, i always have to be aware of animals that may be stalking me. i have to use rifles (the springfield rifle is great) for the men, but i have to use shotguns (bolt action is my preference) for animals that surprise me and lunge at me, and it is unwieldy to switch between them at a fast rate.
anyway i must get back there now and continue my life.

I just got Seasons 1 & 2 of The Following on Blu-ray. Each set is a combo pack with three Blu-rays and four DVDs. I guess they wanted to release a single version that covered everyone regardless of what kind of player they have, but then why do they still make a DVD-only edition? Oh well, I guess I've got DVD back-ups in case the Blu-rays screw up or become damaged, or I can lend the DVDs out to someone if they don't have a Blu-ray player.
