I slept too much and feel I wasted my precious weekend time.

I have eaten and am feeling full, which means whatever I eat next will not taste as good as it would when eaten with my stomach empty. I feel sad when I'm full. I'll go forage for something delicious in the kitchen any way.

Can't hang out my washing because there's too many wasps outside.

Woken up with a very high blood sugar and can't work out why. I've taken a correction dose and it's coming down slowly, but I need to wee every 10 minutes, have a sore stomach and pins & needles in my feet, and my saliva feels like glue.

So I'll keep blood testing every 20 mins and drinking lots of water, and will have to keep a careful eye on things for the next 6 hours or so, to make sure I haven't over-treated the high and end up going low later on.

One of these Saturday nights I won't have a bad headache and I'll be able to colour my hair. I slept an 11 hour night and still needed a nap earlier.

Take it back to the shop, it should last you a lot longer than that!

Got all the gossip from a friend who is in a weird relationship. He's got a lot of baggage and not handling things very well, but she loves him (most dangerous phrase in the English language IMO). It's only been about 3 months, surely it should be honeymoon period at this stage and not all this hassle and upset?

My friend is an adult, it's up to her to live her life, it's not up to me to tell her to dump him. She's got to decide what she's doing. But it is hard to stand back and watch a friend mess up, isn't it? But IME, you never get thanked for interfering.

My furnace broke down in the middle of the night. I will have to call someone tomorrow. But, don't worry, I'm nice and warm because I get my 2 heaters out every time that stupid thing breaks down. That furnace has been a maintenance nightmare since the day it was put in. I swear, I think they make furnaces to break down every couple years to keep the furnace guys in business. Don't make furnaces like they use to.

financial stress. centrelink gives me 240 per week. my electricity/gas bill alone is 255. i still have to pay moving costs and pledge money for my organisation. my housemates said be honest about it but we all have similar incomes and i can't let them down. headache. at least i can go to youthgroup and eat there even if i can't work up the nerve to ask to take some home. it's not as nutritious as it should be and it's inconvenient but it's food. i miss the days in lebanon where i could eat out and pay for other people's food too and buy things.
