The world has kinda treated me like that, barring some kind souls (a few people and some animals). The amount of slapping needed will eventually wear one's hand off.... Which completely sucks. I'll bring a bat or switch hands or something periodically. It's not normal, no. I don't know if you live in a particularly cruel place (which is all I can think of, really, because even though a lot of people are nasty, most won't say anything up front or try to let anyone (outside of their friends) know), but it's really not right at all. They need to be corrected.
