I've been told by many a girl in high school that I was adorable with a clean shave + beanie cap.

And though this picture is not the best example of such (damn you webcam!) I must agree (humbly of course!).

Even at 20, I still get mistaken by high schoolers (and police officers during school hours when I'm walking) as a freshman with this combination.

Ha, I'm 20 as well (in less than a month). Know that feel. I was at walmart and they were handing out free stainless steel peel. The lady kept repeating that they are free to ANYONE 18 OR OLDER. Seeing as the rest of the people were adults (in between my classes, needed a ruler)....I'm pretty sure she was wondering if I was old enough. Luckily I stood my ground, because I don't have a driver's licence and only carry school id/debit.

Also. I lost a semester of college, so it is weird to be a freshman even though I graduated in 11...The freshman are in MY classes 8O

Oh you are fortunate! I got stopped on a road actually near the local high school and I didn't have any ID on me as I never carry it when I jog (lack of pockets) so the conversation went like:

Officer: "Son, what are you doing out of school?"
Me: "Oh hi! How's it go- wait you think I'm a student?"
Officer: "Why else would I ask what I just did?"
Me: *realises I have no way of proving my age* "Well I don't have an ID on me.. this is awkward."
Officer: *blank, expressionless stare into my soul*
Me: *tempted to ask for a ride home in order to get my ID but I have better judgement* Well I can't show you my ID without going home but my name is Taverson Taverson and I'm 20 and (other random information to possibly help my case). That's really all I can think of without being able to actually prove my age. Is it good enough or are you going to need to take me in?
Officer: *thinks for a moment* You're fine. You may want to keep an ID on you at all times though just in case.

I can guarantee you if I had shaved that morning (I had not shaved for almost a week) I would have been in an incredibly awkward situation in a school office or a police station. It was that combined with my calm tone of voice that got me out of trouble. I now make sure to always wear something with deep pockets for my ID.

Not the most fortunate though.
I've been pulled over 4 times (twice on a bike, once while running, and once on rollerblades...I have a lack of fear of cars. )
Luckily , I carry a school ID and that was good enough for me....and they didn't give me an actual ticket.
But the only reason I did is because my parents bought me a combination keychain/cardholder....and it is SO convenient.
Anyways, that sucks, haha...always carry ID, always.
And were you in a college town/area?
Because they usually assume people from there are college-aged :P

But did you say you run? :D
I've run everything from a 5k to a marathon.
You?

No. I'm currently in small town consisting of half suburbs, half farmland that's about a half hour outside of a fairly major city in Texas. The only schools nearby are high schools (the incident I described earlier was about a quarter mile away from the closest high school - I was wearing a shirt of their football team), middle schools, and elementary schools. In regards to running, I jog here and there though I've lately had to stop as my knee has been ridiculously painful. I now limit myself to walking while loading up on anti-inflammatory pills.

I'm not entirely sure if there's a major issue with my knee or if it's just due to the roads out here, but when I ship to basic training at the end of this month... well I'll know for sure there lol.
